Has anyone got advise for me in regards to fishing the peel inlet? Im taking the misso and kids down to Mandurah for long weekend and im hoping to try my luck catching something other than a stinky blowie. Im staying in falcon close to the boat ramp on Dampier Ave. We will be land based is it worth flicking some lures around? Any tips please legends would love to see the kids get a few whiting or anything else hanging round.   Cheers legends 

 How does everyone go in shark bay are there a few dhufish around? Been stopping past the karrinyup seafood shop lately and they have had a fair amount of shark bay dhu? Am I thinking too much into this? Can a pro boat off-load in shark bay and say they were caught locally? It bloody sucks walking in and seeing this thinking we can't go out and catch them ourselves.

Went for a flick on Sunday afternoon off the rocks with a little gillies metal lure (halco twistys getting expensive!) trying to pick up a small trevally or something because I was craving some sashimi.... Managed to pick up a trout that was just sized which was a nice surprise! 

Made great sashimi and I also tried trout skin crackling for the first time which I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty/easy it was.... Curious to know if you can do the same with any other fish? I was thinking the smaller estuary cod seem to have reasonbly similar skin & small scales once you get the slime off??

 Heading to Zambia next July and am very keen to do a side trip to see Vic Falls but mainly to catch a decent Tiger! 

I am hoping someone on here can recommend a a great camp/ lodge on the Upper Zambezi to stay at for 3 or so nights?

 After living the Torres Straight and FNQ lifestyle for the last three years we're on the mooove again. Not being one to do things by halves Mrs Silver Fox has landed a sweet gig in Darwin. I've been flat out renovating and getting our house on the market and currently getting the fat duck and her ever faithful tow vehicle ready for another interstate road trip. At three thousand kilometers it's half the distance of the last one....:D  Have spent a fair bit of time servicing both the truck and trailer in preparation for departure in the near future. At least I'm not going to be punching into the dreaded south easterlies. This time it's going to be a tailwind the whole way. Can't wait for some NT boating and fishing action!.

 Is it just me or is everyone confused.  The new rules state that the closure EXCLUDES the upcoming school holidays but what precisely does that mean as Private Schools have a different commencement date of holidays to those of Public schools so when precisely can we actually fish.

Went out other day decided to try drop baits on squid ground . Got some good kgs and lizard. Surprised me on size and amount of kgs in area .

 Reading article that says squid cannot see different colours people's thoughts on jig selection then.

 Hi Gang, Looking to do a trip in october just after school holidays. Never fished WA coast as have been in darwin but had a bit of a look on this site and weighing up shark bay or esperance. Will have a 3.9 tinny so any advice on spots weather this time of year would be welcome. No family so just a boys trip with swags and 4wds.

 Took a half day off yesterday afternoon to do some miles in my little runabout with the perfect weather and before the wind kicks in in coming days. Was fishing in 50-60m off the north Muiron and was getting obliterated by sharks. Got a few red throat and was about to pack it in after losing a good fish + half rig but chucked another bait on my remaining hook and dropped down and pulled a big estuary cod  ~95cm and no idea on the weight. 

Blew its guts after skull dragging it off the bottom and highly doubt it was going to release so I took it home and slabbed up last night. Have really rated the smaller models on the plate that I have caught but interested to know what I can expect from a fish this size. Are they still good chewing? Fillets looked lovely.

Hi, I am looking into a Uniden MHS155UV duel band uhf/vhf cb radio, I was wondering if anyone has used one/ owns one?, my VHF in the tinny has shit its self and I don't have a UHF in the car so when I first saw there was a dual band radio that got me thinking this might be the best solution

Heading up in October with my 4.5m side console. Just wondering if anyone has fished the artifical reef system lately?

It's close to the canals which is where im staying so should give it a shot for pelagics and demersals when the wind isnt too crazy Gulf side.

Fingers crossed the Sharks arent too bad!
