Got quoted for fw a long while back and was about 20k and i felt like there was a lot of 'hidden' extras that were going to be recurring.

Yeah it seems to be a lot of hidden info around apps.
Been told $5k to $50k depending what you want. Feels more like how much we think we can get out of you.

Any hints on the scope of what you want developed ?
Does it have to be an app (as in for android and iPhone) or can it be a web based app?

I think an app is what I need (no idea to be honest) as I am hoping to be able to have an offline capability to it so it can upload when it has service.
Yes needs to be phone based
There are so many ways of doing this sort of thing these days that its hard to pick the right way!
So offline capability is a requirement. Some other Qs if you are keen to dive deeper:
How many users roughly?
Will you want users to have accounts to log in to the app?
Is any financial / confidential / personally identifiable data involved?
What would be the risk if any data in this app was hacked (either made public, malicously modified and changed, permanently deleted)
Is the main goal to capture and store data (either via text forms, photos etc) that the user enters?
Or an app that can present the user with info about something?
Or maybe a booking / check in check out type service?
Do you want to caputre things like gps data?
Does it need to pull information from any other system/product ?
Is this a commercial offering to make profit? Or something to help benefit the club or its members in other ways?
