EUROPE TRIP (picture heavy)
Hey Guys and Gals i just thought id throw up a few pics from my recent Europe trip for those that are interested. Some people think im crazy going to Europe and all i wanted to do is fish, but thats me i love it. I do it for work and i do it for fun cant get enough!! So every chance i got while i was there i tryed to have a fish, didnt do a whole lot but as much as i could.
-First pics are ice fishing in Lapland (most northern part of Finland). Great fun we caught a mixture of Redfin, Roach and another type but i forgot the name.
-Next is a charter i took from Brighton in the UK. The water was really dirty and fishing was hard but managed 9 Pollock between 10 people and i was lucky enough to get one. Also a Submarine we saw while out on the sea.
-Next is stream fishing in Bath UK. Found this little stream at the back of the caravan park we stayed in so i riged up my 2ft ugly stick thati had in my backpack and caught quite a few Chub and a couple of Brown Trout on live worms.
-Next I went fishing with my misses uncle in Newcastle UK. It was the second day of the rainbow trout season and water was still a bit cold but i landed a nice Blue Trout which i was even happier with because it was a new species for me.
-Next is Pike fishing in Headford Ireland. We fished hard with lures but all the fish for the day came from dead baits. Caught 4 for the day and I was lucky enough to get one over the magic 1m mark.
-Lastly we stopped in Singapore on the way home and i hooked up with a few locals and we went Peacock Bass fishing. Great fun treking threw the jungle and throwing lures for these beautiful fish. Tryed for snakeheads but no luck.
-Also in Singapore prawn fishing and Patin fishing. Prawn fishing was more of a drinking session although we did manage a couple of KGs of prawns which was real good. Patin fishing is like a game, you fish with a tiny fiberglass rod and a shortish lengh 4lb line tied to the tip. It costs $5 per rod and if the line snaps you have to buy a new rod to keep fishing. Its extremely difficult but eventually got 2 fish from 5 rods.
Hope you all enjoy the photos..
Cheers Belly

great report mate!
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

Great stuff Belly.
Jealous of your winter pike. Something I wanted to target with my old man but lost the chance.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Awesome mate. Reckon I gotta have a crack at those pike in the next month or two!
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
