Fishing Plastics

Hi all,

Have been reading plenty of posts and have noticed that the plastics seem to be more productive than the bait. I have never used plastics before and am looking at giving them a go (hopefully they will help me out fish the missus) so was wondering if anyone can give me some ideas on best way to fish with them, we will be fishing from the boat so when drifting do you just give them a twitch now and then or does this need to be done constantly, also if at anchor do you just lightly retreive etc etc.

Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

what type of fish do you mainly target mate?

Bet retrieve i have found is to lett it sink to the bottom, double hop it, slow wind, double hop , sink and do it all over again. berkley 3 inch grubs are ace for bream, whiting and flatty.

5inch and 7inch jerk shads for trout, snapper etc
