Taking the family camping down in Pemberton and hoping to catch a few marron with the kids. Happy to travel from home base to get a feed.
Any assistance will be much appreciated. PM me if you do not want the general community to know your secrets and I swear I will take the knowledge to my grave.

I dont have any personal
I dont have any personal experience going after Marron on the Warren, but i am sure it would be similar to the Blackwood and the Donnelly. Dont know about the big Dams down there though.
If you dont want to be competing with 100's of other people, or River Kings 'staking out' stretches of river as 'theirs' i suggest not going on opening weekend. Believe me they all dont get caught on opening weekend. I often do best about the middle and last weekends, when everyone has buggered off. Or even get out during the weekdays later on in the season.
Best bet for down there is get yourself some Topographic maps and find the most remote looking areas where there are biggish deep pools and have a crack there. If its easy to get to chances are there will be fewer Marron. If you got your freshwater fishing licence even have a crack at Trout and Redfin on the Warren. If you have a 4wd all the better to get to even more remote places on the river, but chances are there will be someone already there, so just expect you will be sharing the river.
If all else fails there is the King Trout Farm where you can go catch Marron if you want, also can get Trout too. Its been under new managament/owners since the middle of 2012 i think? Great for the kids if nothing else.
I personnaly only use a snare for Marron but nets will work too. I find this often works well for me as most people i encounter only use nets, so i just snare in the river around where they have them, keeping everyone happy.
If you want tips on Trout locations on the Warren i am happy to PM you. None are a sure thing, but have produced from time to time for me in the past.
Cheers, Buz.
