Quick Lady Joyce trip

Mate Colin and I took off for what we hoped would be a trip down to one of the channels to catch a black snapper or two and maybe a pinky.

Got away from the ramp at 0745 and after a bit of searching for a channel opening and changing plans we arrived at the Joyce at around 0845-0900.

First dozen or so casts with a mulie resulted in trevally of around 2 kg and pinkies about an inch undersize plus a tailor that went 3 -3.5kg, all released.

Col cast his line away from the wreck and immediately hooked in seeing what and where he'd got his I followed up with a good keeper as well

When it was 1100 and time to leave so Col could be back in time for work we had 7 pinkies and 3 reasonable trevs in the box and had deliberately released something like 50 undersize pinkies and near the same in small trevs plus 2 good tailor and 4 unintentionable releases where the fish decided they didn't want to look at us two old farts

Its been that long since I've felt like it or the weathers been right a bloke has nearly forgotten what it feels like to catch a couple.

Probably be  a while before it happens again too, got to come south on Tuesday to see quacks on Friday at transplan clinic

Got a kidney thats giving me heaps so they are going to take it out, patch it up and give it to someone else. Still works @ 100% just gives me pain where as 7 out of 10 adults have the same cysts I'm the 1 in 10.000 that can feel them---trust me to be the one with the f#$%^&d up nervous system

Nah, was great to get out in near flat conditions and have a good session

Relaxing

Mon, 2012-08-13 18:28

Was busy but also relaxing to get a line in the water and some fish to take down south to the crew [bit of bribery goes a long way]

No sharks was a treat because I hate donating to their cause.
