plenty of whiting around on the beaches. some areas you can get the odd big fish including pinkies and blacks. fish the beaches at night with big baits out and there is a fair chance of a shark or two. there have been several posts about this before so maybe have a bit of a look

There is a small jetty in Denham which I'm pretty sure is good for squid at nights.  Where abouts are you staying?  When I went to Nanga a few years back, as soon as I got there I threw a line in right next to the boat ramp/beach and was catching some nice sized flathead and whiting.  I'm sure you would be a fair chance of catching something half decent at nights.  Like the FFs said, maybe a Pinky or Black Snapper or a shark?  Good luck.  Let us know how you go.

If your able to get up the Peron Peninsula its well worth sending out a balloon, just pick a spot nearish the tip with the wind behind you. Take the big gear!

Last trip found some macks just past the jetty at Mia, off the shore and baitcasting mulies, knew there was a bit of a channel there but wasn't expecting that. Couple mulla's fell to others in our group too.
