What do you lot do to earn a crust??? - 2010
Hi Crew,
Just saw the users post and the topic of what everyone does for a living came up and as noted, many of us have changed jobs and there are a heap of new members.
I'll start it off:
I used to work for DoF as a finfish researcher (spanglies, reds and spaniards), but now work at Marinefarms as an aquaculture technician growing barra and dolphinfish in Exmouth. Also studying OHS at tafe this semester to go with a management degree that I studied previously. Will hopefully be getting my coxwain's soon to go hunt coral trout for broodstock at work when our license goes through. :) I also have run/owned fishwrecked for the last 5 years, write for the reeltime mag and have the telstra payphone contract for town as well.
Cheers,
Adam

Gota change that
Gota change that nicksapheno! When I'm not on this site much, it doesn't mean I'm not fishing, actually the opposite. Too busy fishing to get on the site.

Jack of all trades
Started out in the Navy doing marine engineering. Kane when were you in? I was 80 to 86. Finally got my ticket as a car mechanic a few years back after being in the industry for twenty years. Now working at BCF and absolutely loving it!

Business Development
I work as Business Development Manager with Halliburton, Pipeline Services department. Based in the city, and looking after Australasia and South East Asia. Best to be located near the airport, due to regular travel .... I live in Butler though :s Been in the industry for 11 years, mainly in the Fields (oil rigs and support vessels), and moved to a "managerial" role just couple of years ago, time to settle and be with my family a bit more.
Seen all sorts of pelagics, and whales from the rigs, but as you all imagine, you're not allowed to drop a line .... Grrr.
