long day on the ocean
Submitted by joshua-casey on Sun, 2011-10-30 20:53we started our day meeting at 230
convoying with mates adam an tom to try some ground between esprance an black point :)
we blew a tyre out about an hour an a half into our mission an our spare having minimal air
in it letting us only creep until we arrived in the next town which conviniently had the air hose
an compressor left on. we got to the ramp put our boats in an got prepared for a wet 18mile ride
in strong easterlies. 1/2 way to the spot my motor decided to pack up on one cylinder leaving us
running on only 2 an crawling the rest of the way there.
we ended up with a pretty decent bag for our efforts 2 queenies 6 nannies an a nice dhu

Latest on the Douglass Craft
Submitted by davidbland50 on Tue, 2011-10-11 20:37I dont know if this got on the other thread, so for all those that are interested, put the DC in at Ocean Reef today to see how she would sit with the motor. I think with the fuel tank and fuel, it should all level out. By the way, the son wants to call her the 'Blue Flame' once she is painted royal blue. What do we think?
