Jigging Game 6024C - Baitcaster, 6', jig weight 60-120g and line class PE 0.8 - 1.5. This model is suited to those wanting a bay rubber style rod in overhead and can be used as an awesome drift baiting rod. FW price is $

Jigging Game 6046S - Spin, 6', jig weight 110-160g and line class of PE1.5-3. This is an allround Demersal jigger that will suit depths of mostly 50-80m. This will stop nearly all demersals! FW price is $
Another rod that we have added to our range of jigging rods is the Expert Graphite Alexander series.
A rod that features a very parabolic blank and complimented with Fuji components and a little bit of bling. There are 3 rods in this range, The PE 1-3 spin, PE 2-4 spin and PE 1-3 Overhead.

These are $ for FW members as an introductory price. Awesome value!
Waves Mare Nostrum Shorty 20lb rods are another great demersal jig rod. Standing at 5'6" and suggested jig weight of upto 150g. Tested and proven by Blake and Ryan out on the water, We are doing these at $ each, Saving $

For those going out chasing the Super Deep Species then come check out the custom designed and made Ozflex Braid Master Electric Lt bent butt rod. For years we have promoted using Jig style rods for Super deep fishing and this is still the best way if activley fighting the fish, Though for those that simply want to put the rod in the rod holder and let the outfit do the work then this rod is the one you need. Softer actioned blank than most other bent but rods on the market, Good quality guides and an AFTCO swivel roller tip, Its all quality. We already have customers with these rods and they love them.

Also a heads up to Fishwrecked members that we have just recieved an order of the popular Fishing WA Extreme Tackle 9' spin rod. This is by far one of the fastest moving rods that we stock and for good reason! If you want one now is the time to buy as these WILL sell out. For this week we will give you your FW discount and throw in a Fishing WA Freshwater cove special DVD.
We have the Jigging Master Powerspell reels instock too. They are powerhouses of reels and simply put they are the highest quality of reels in the market. Featuring one of the strongest Anti-Reverse systems available and crazy drag out puts. They were put to the test up in Exmouth over the past couple of weeks with Blake using them to tackle medium to large Amberjack and medium sized Ruby Snapper in 250m + deep water and winning all fights (Including some pesky sharks!).
For this week we will give you a 10% discount off the ticketed price on instore stocks of Powerspell reels (Excluding PE2 model)

We have only one left of the Brand new Jigging Master Powerspell PE2 casting reel. This is an awesome bit of kit which is designed for casting though still at home landing demersals and smaller pelagics. Rather than having the trademark T-Bar handle it features a machined power knob. Holds 400m of PE2 or 320m of PE3 and a gear ratio of 5.3:1
This reel is already proving popular so come in and check it out!
We have also recieved a new batch of Lamble Bait jigs! Including popular models like:
- Haoli 8
- Japan
- Haoli King
- Madai
- Haoli Half Pitch
- Haoli F2
- Haoli Flats
- Haoli Flashing
- Haoli Kanpachi

JM PR Bobbins now in stock again, come in for a free demo with every purchase!
And more! Your Fishwrecked discounts will apply for these so get in before we sell out!
Also we are doing a special on Eupro Flash jigs. These are high end jigs in disguise. Awesome quality jigs with top notch finishes and a good variety of colours. There are already some Fishwrecked members who know the catching capabilities of these jigs. We will take % off the ticketed price on these for the time of this special which means they start at $
Finally just to let you all know that Oceanside Tackle and Marine has joined Facebook!
Feel free to look us up and like the new page. There will be continuous updates including new products, Staff and customer brag pics and more.

Fisheries boat learner driver!!!! BEWARE
Submitted by paulbazza on Thu, 2013-04-25 20:07I was out just behind Garden Island today, fishing at anchor, Fisheries boat pulls up along side to check the same gear they check every second week, the d...a.s driver let the rear of his boat drift into the front of my boat, with the swell, my boat rises and slams down hard into his boat, my 'getting elderly' mother, who was sittting on the esky, ends up flying off the esky, ending up on the deck, i was standing but almost ended up on my ass also!!! luckily no one was hurt or broke any bones, quiet easliy could have happened.
I suppose my point is just because they have a Fisheries badge on their shirt doesnt mean they know what they are doing! As skipper of the boat, i will be telling them to keep their distance from my boat in future.
I have also had them board my boat at sea ( 500 metres from point peron boat ramp), about 12 months ago, an extremely unsafe practise, an accident waiting to happen, i am not sure if they are allowed to do this, again as skipper i dont think i will allow that again, so much easier and safer to check things back at the ramp!

Slow GPS
Submitted by Brock O on Thu, 2013-04-25 19:04
Hi Guys
Boats fitted with a 07 Navman 6507. It may be me when working in a small area but it seems to be slow to change degrees when moving, also if I was to head straight today the boat symbol on the screen would be travelling side ways before straighting up. This makes life hard when crossing ground then wanting to return past before doing a drift, makes it hard to line up.
Then when heading home today the unit shut down a few times, this may have been due to a plug working its way loose, once the unit was started again the boat symbol ended on land in the Kwinana suburb some were, we were still behind Garden Island.
When leaving the ramp my old tracks had crossed across the rock wall the previous trip, which never happened as far as i am aware!
Any ideas on this? Power issue through the plug, some settings to adjust or is it on its way out??
Comments most appreciated.

Mr Cadbury met Miss Rowntree on a
Double Decker.
It was just After Eight.
They got off at Quality Street.
He asked her name. 'Polo', I'm the one
with the

......I'm Marathon, the no one with the
nuts' he
replied.
He touched her Cream Eggs, which was a
Kinder
Surprise for her.
Then he slipped his hand into her Snickers,
which
made her Ripple.
He fondled her Jelly Babies and she
rubbed his Tic
Tacs.
Soon they were Heart Throbs.
It was a Fab moment as she screamed in
Turkish
Delight.
Bur, 3 days later, his Sherbet Dip Dab

Turns out Miss Rowntree had been with

What Would You Fishwrecked Members Do
Submitted by Howard George on Wed, 2013-04-24 17:52Got a phone call today from a local newspaper wanting comment about a baby dolphin that was caught up in fishing line and needed to be rescued and I guess everyone knows where this was heading.Tried fobbing the reporter off onto Recfishwest but she wasn't having a bar of that so I fell back on, education and making people aware of the importance of picking up their rubbish when heading home etc, etc, but just from her line of questioning she wanted to stick it up a rec-fisher and get a scoop. I'm just wondering what would you guys do and say.

Video Surveys Of Sub-Sea Locations
Submitted by HSSS on Wed, 2013-04-24 14:08Here at Holland SubSea Solutions we are mad keen about fishing and everything sub-sea. To that end we are looking at performing some video and photographic surveys (including GPS data) of recommended Perth Locations with our Remotely Operated Vehicles for free publication on our website.
We are initially looking for popular spots (rockwalls, piers, reefs, etc.) so we can develop a section on our website.
So if you've always been curious about what's at the bottom of that wharf or want to know the perfect location to drop your line, give us your thoughts.

Abrolhos Islands Live Aboard Charter
Submitted by Justo82 on Wed, 2013-04-24 11:32G'day all... I'm in a very unfortunate position.....
well, not really...
The missus is looking to send me away for a while.. on a live aboard charter to the Abrolhos!!!! haha!
Now the question I have for you, is who has done a live aboard charter, what company did you go with, how do you rate the charter company, and of course the overall experience. I've checked out all the reports people have done, and it just looks amazing and I've been licking my lips hoping to go on one for a while, then got home last night and had the bomb dropped on me.
She's looking to get rid of me for around a 4 day trip (5 including stop over).
What did you bring with you (in terms of fishing gear, and personal gear)
where did you leave your vehicle securely?
and, any other tips you can all offer would be appreciated.
thanks!

Denmark & Albany Help
Submitted by Pezdog on Tue, 2013-04-23 16:49Hi All
Heading down south to Denmark and Albany with the hoards of others over the next week and a half and hoping to get onto some quality fish. No 4WD and will be landbased. Mainly keen on fishing the beaches for some Salmon or even some Whiting, Pinkies (I hear you can get them at Wilsons Inlet at certain times).
Will most probably be with the Mrs so nothing too dangerous would be what I am after.
Thinking Wilsons Inlet, Cheynes and few of the Albany beaches but don't really have a clue.
Ive had a bit of a look around on here and on the net but hoping some of the FW crew can help me out.
Cheers

Need a Deckie over Long Weekend for Bottom Bashing?
Submitted by Tradewind on Tue, 2013-04-23 14:10Hey Guys & Gals,
Hoping someone needs either a Deckie and/or Fishing Pal to head out with them for Bottom Bashing (Dhuie/Snapper etc) over the long weekend.
I've got the Friday off as well.
Have my own gear, will supply bait, chip in for fuel etc.
I'm very laid back and I never get bored trying.
If you're interested send me a PM and we can get in contact.
Thanks!
