Submitted by sparrow on Thu, 2013-05-02 09:03Anyone been to Coral Bay in the last month chasing sails and or Marlin?
Just wondering the best depth at the moment and if NW out of the North passage is currently the best option?
Any info would be great.
Windy weather in Exmouth - September stuffed?
Submitted by Oracle on Thu, 2013-05-02 00:10Just trying to get some research and have mixed findings. Some sites say the wind is still good in Exxy in September and boat fishing and diving is great. Others saying, window is closed and shit house.
What have people hear experienced in the last year or two?
Cheers

Yellowfin Tuna
Submitted by Taylor fishing on Wed, 2013-05-01 23:22Just wondering if this is the time of year for YFT? Haven't really targeted them before but me and a mate just went chasin' some
birds. Wheeling and diving it was pretty obvious (we saw a few tuna launch). I'm a big tuna virgin so I'm puttin it at around 18-20kg (I'm 6'3 and 95). Any other estimates?? Suggestions for more?? Lure types/set-ups?

Tinnie pinkies
Submitted by jack93 on Wed, 2013-05-01 19:07Hey everyone don't usually post but last night inspired from catching a dhuie with willy and some good advice my mate and I decided to hit up a local spot in my tinnie to try for some snapper. Without a sounder or GPS we thought we would compensate by burl eying the hell out of the water! Was there from around 4-630. We ended up bagging out and having to let the last fish go ( last picture ) which was 90cm. We ended up keeping 4 fish 2 around 7kg, 1 around 5kg and one around 6kg wasn't actually too confident at the start but it ended up being a gat short session ! Starting to think the tinnie and hard work is paying off
any idea what the weight of the 90cm fish would be ?

I Need Your Help Wonnerup Cleanup.
Submitted by Howard George on Wed, 2013-05-01 15:10I'm organising a cleanup of the Wonnerup Wetlands in an attempt to remove the remaining dead fish left behind by the City of Busselton. There are still virtually thousands of fish remaining around the edges that are close to decomposition and this weekend is probably the last chance we'll get. I'm looking for guys with tinnies and oars to carefully work their way around the edges and scoop up any fish without disturbing the environment to much.I'd just like to warn everyone that it's not going to be pleasant and it stinks to high heaven but it's something that needs to be done. The cleanup is on this Sunday morning at 8 o-clock.I don't want to hear from you heathens about having to go to church on Sunday but it gives us fisho's the opportunity to show we care about the environment.

Bremer Bay or Cape Arid/Israelite Bay
Submitted by schanmala on Wed, 2013-05-01 13:14Hey Guys,
Planning a trip down south in Dec 2013.
If you were to chosse where to go would you go:
Bremer Bay or Cape Arid/Israelite Bay
We all have capable 4x4 vehicles and love camping, 4x4n and fishing...oh and drinking.
Will have ~3 to 5 nights to play with.
No boat but possibly bring a Hobie Kayak. So will be landbased fishing.
I've never been to Esperance but have fished Albany all the way along the coast back upto Perth.
Cheers guys,
Scott

platipus super 100 advice
Submitted by crezz on Wed, 2013-05-01 11:02has anyone used the platipus super 100 mono line before? realy thin for its weight. just wondering if its thin diameter means its strength is questionable. ill be spooling it on an old penn 850 as the old line has streached and changed colour from clear to light gray.

Latest Customs
Submitted by Bunny on Wed, 2013-05-01 10:08Did a couple of quick basic builds for a mate and his parents who have a hut on the Daintree River they let us stay at from time to time. This was a thanks for past and future trips. The lighter rod has a double foot stripper and singles the rest of the way, Fuji Alconites. I like it better than the heavier one although the pattern on that came up nice. Time to build one for myself I reckon.

Submitted by Justo82 on Tue, 2013-04-30 22:36Hi all,
ive been looking for a jigging outfit and have come across these two reels, the okuma Salina III and the shimano stradic in the 5000 size. Both are in my budget and on the surface appear to meet my needs.
I want to use it for
jigging - pe 1-3
bottom bouncing

in your experience/opinion how do they compare?
