my GMail account - DELETE when you receive a message from my GMail account

Some %$#^$&*^ HACKER took over my GMail account - for any members who had dealings with me through my GMail account - when you receive a mail to the line off:

"Hope you get this on time, I made a trip to Aberdeen, Scotland and had
my bag stolen from me with my passport and credit cards in it. The
embassy is willing to help by letting me fly without my passport, I
just have to pay for a ticket and settle Hotel bills. Unfortunately
for me, I can't have access to funds without my credit card, I've made
contact with my bank but they need more time to come up with a new
one. I was thinking of asking you to lend me some quick funds that I
can give back as soon as I get in. I really need to be on the next
available flight.

I can forward you details on how you can get the funds to me.

I await your response....

John Clark."

DELETE and trash!!!!

(Anyone willing to send this %$#@#$%%^ hacker a trojan of sorts - this is his email - (pm me and I will send it) - send him the worst toasted horse that will fry his PC!!!)

Fishermen Harrased on Busselton Jetty.

A wellknown local fishing identity went for a nice quiet fish on the jetty while the jetty train was operating and was harrassed and insulted by people going to the Under Water Observatory who obviously don't fish and you wont read this in the local papers because they're just not interested. This is what relationships between the tourists and fishers have deteriated into which is a real shame because if it was the reverse situation no doubt the local newspapers would be full of calls to ban fishing. As if it's not bad enough we have to tolerate the BULLY tactics and threats from the Shire council to close off the jetty at night and we now have to put up with this rubbish during the day time which I know wont be tolerated by the fishermen. Just another case for fighting for your fishing rights.

Hi all,

Dory or ???

Ok guys more help needed.

I'm finally in a position where I may be able to purchase a decent boat. Now I'm not talking a monster ocean going liner, I've set my sights a little lower. I'm thinking a Dory or something of similar size. Thing is I'd like to know what else is available. Must be high sided with a deep hull, 4.2m minimum. Would mainly be used in the sounds & venture further out on those rare days when it's flat.

Any ideas? Who else makes an open tinny worth looking at?

Your best Spanish Mackerel Recipes?

hey guys, just after some nice recipes for mackerel... hoping to  be eating some over the next few weeks (fingers crossed). I remember having cajun spiced Mackerel once in Airlie Beach.. still the best piece of fish iv had.

Look forward to your responces.

Soft plastics and how to fish with it succesfull.

I am intrigued by this Soft plastic fishing technique and would like to know more about it.

I have bought some different plastic fishies and some different weighted jigheads

Can someone point me and I presume many more in the right direction, please?

I think that the first step could be, which I have taken, to give it a try and to believe; "it will work" ( when you are understanding it how it works)

The last bit is what I do not

WA's marine 'heatwave'

Marine Scientists are set to produce scientific papers and share information to help researchers better understand the causes and consequences of the recent marine heatwave along Western Australia's coast, one consequence being fish, lobster and abalone deaths along the mid west coast and in the Abrolhos, Kalbarri and Leeman areas.  They will be reviewing both the physical and biological aspects of the heatwave which appears to have some major implications for fish and invertebrate species along the continental shelf.

Acting Director of Research Dr Dan Gaughan said in some cases, these were the warmest sea temperatures ever recorded for these regions.  There were also significant amounts of coral bleaching along WA’s Coast.

The Department of Environment and Conservation and others, including Fisheries, CSIRO and Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) research staff have been collaborating to record the impacts.  About eighty marine scientists and managers from throughout WA are working on topics such as coral bleaching, oceanography, range extension of some marine species along the west and southern coasts, and exploring possible causes and effects of the heatwave phenomenon.

In some cases, these are the warmest sea temperatures ever recorded for these regions and they appear to have been influenced by a stronger than usual Leeuwin Current over summer, associated with a very strong La Nina event which caused masses of tropical water to flow through Indonesia and maintain high temperatures as it moved south over several months from November 2010, until beginning to dissipate in late March this year.

Unusual sightings of whale sharks and spanish mackerel, among other species, appeared in waters off the southern coast.   Much of the information about unusual fish sightings came from fishers and members of the general public.

In February 2011, surface temperatures were more than 3°C above average for this time of year over a large area extending from Ningaloo to the Abrolhos and to over 200km offshore, while an area extending from Exmouth to the Capes and 500km offshore was more than 2°C warmer.

It's official - Marine WATERs is live on the web!
The size and movement of the marine 'heatwave' from November 2010 through to March 2011.

The graphic features a graduated temperature scale indicating the average sea surface temperatures recorded over that month.

The darkest blue/purple shade indicates water of normal temperature (ie what you would usually expect to see).  The yellow and orange areas indicate water of much higher than usual temperature (2.5 to 3.5 degrees above normal).

The graphic shows the movement of the body of water from well off the north-west coast (about 400km offshore) in November 2010 through to a significant intensification in January 2011, where it is seen to be directly hugging the Gascoyne coastline.  By February it has enlarged and extends over a very large area from Ningaloo to south of Mandurah.  By March the coverage is still  extensive but the very high temperatures (ie the orange area) appear to have dissipated.

Fuji Triger Grip too small

I have a Daiwa Saltist Southern Blue rod rated at PE 5-6 , and have just bought a Daiwa Saltist LD 50  2 Speed for it,

the fuji trigger grip holder seems to be too small and I have to force the reel into it to attach it to the rod. I still have the receipts

and am considering sending the rod back to Daiwa. The reel seat on the LD50 is about 3-4 mm longer than the Fuji Trigger Grip.

Any thoughts

Exmouth Over the long weekend.

How long was the drive on average?

Anyone that may need a deckie over the weekend? will defs pay my way.

Squid size

Just out of curiousity is there a legal size limit on Squid?

Need to pickup a cheap rod prior to this weekend and funds are tight at the moment. Looking at picking up a Berkley Dropshot 2-4kg 2 piece new - just wandering if anyone has a second hand one in good conditioin they want to get rid of. Will consider a 3-5kg too but the 2-4 is definately my preference.

Buschy

E shed

Hey guys I'm planning to do some mulloway fishing at the e shed this weekend, not sure which day tho, just had a few questions for the pros, would trumpeter be any good for bait? And what other types of fish are hiding down there? Cheers greatly appreciated

Mr Alexander all bent up

My latest and sweetest PE2 combo, Major Craft Alexander and Stella SW4000PG, getting a serious flogging on the weekend. There was another very strange combo at work on the weekend on my tug, but I will leave it to the master to post if he so wishes.
