Yellowfin from today
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Thu, 2010-04-22 19:43Went out for work today and didn't find much. Got snipped by a wahoo/mackie/barracuda, 1 small striped tuna and this yellowfin, not a bad day conditions wise but very slow on the surface front. First yellowfin I've seen in a few years of billie trolling, here's hoping a few more showup.

GT'S on the Great Barrier Reef
Submitted by Iceman on Mon, 2010-04-19 18:18Just got back from Hamilton Island. Spent a day out on the reef platform watching 20kg plus GTs swim around the platform and could not wet a line. Weather was perfect. The day I go fishing it is blowing its but off with 25plus knot winds. manage to get into a few of GTs. First time ever and the first fishing was estimate at 25kg plus. Rest all around 20 kg. Arms and shoulers like jelly by the end of the day. Then spent 3.5 hours getting back to the island in 2-2.5m seas. But had a great day. Another fish off my list.

Solid bag
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Fri, 2010-04-16 10:21A good haul from this time last year - everyone was saying the fishing was lousy around the FW comp??? The cod was kept because it was a floater.

My nephew and his first flathead
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Thu, 2010-04-15 06:46I was down near Denmark for Easter and went for a quick fish with my nephew Connor, about 5 minutes in he picked up this solid flattie on his new combo on a small hardbody. He was pretty stoked for the next few days, as were both dad and I seeing the next generation of the family coming through loving what we love to do.

Lucky Tim and sail
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Wed, 2010-04-14 16:36Ewan and Gully were starting to hassle me out as skipper (we had already got 1 bill when Lucky was skippering (I still reckon it was mine even though Tim took the controls about 1 minute before it hooked up, lol) so I proved them wrong and got lucky onto a good sail minutes before calling it a day. Was a top arvo session for a few hours work.
