Is there a more moving tribute
Submitted by Paully on Mon, 2011-04-25 10:47to commemorate an occasion than the "Last Post" - I doubt it very much. Certainly makes my hairs stand up being the proud Aussie that I am. How can we not be proud thinking about the Aussie and NZ diggers on this day. What a very special day it is.

Xtreme coolers around for the Easter weekend AND SPECIAL.
Submitted by Xtreme Coolers on Thu, 2011-04-21 20:15Hi all.
Just returned from Geraldton last week and had a great time up there. Met up with a few FW members and thanks to Poddy and Paul who helped me deal with a few customers at a busy time. The locals up there seemed to love their big boxes so i gather they do pretty well offshore.
I will be around over Easter and into next week. Plan a trip to Rotto a bit later so if you are keen to catch up with me next week might be best to PM me or give me a rimg on 0403978583 to make a time. The last few weeks have been pretty busy and a big thanks must go out to the FW family who have supportied me through sales or recommendations.
It try hard to give the FW community a good discount and service.
The new Evapac packing machines are doing well and are a quality product i have been testing for nearly 3 years. It comes with a 2 year warranty, moisture tray built in seneor for sealing, 25 free bags, jar attachments and a motor that does not need to cool down. I pack all of my fish with this and it has not let me down at all unlike many other brands that we have broken. It is a well priced quality product at $242.00 and will last you a long time. It is powerful, reliable and tough. We also carry a large range of bags in small, medium and large. You can of course choose to use other bags or even a roll from another supplier. I am really keen on this model as you can tell and can personally recommend it. Get a few guys together who you normally travel with and the cost is even lower.
EASTER SPECIAL: Purchase any cooler box over Easter at the great FW prices and get a further $20.00 off the purchase price of the Evapac.
Hope you all have a greatr easter. Let's hope the salmon make their way up here.
Looking forward to meet some more FW crew over Easter and beyond.
Regards
Dave Allen

Ledge Point
Submitted by Reags on Tue, 2011-04-19 15:46Hey Folks
I'm new to the site and thought i'd see if i could find out what the fishing is like from both beach and tinny at ledge point
thinking of taking the family camping after the easter maddness spending 3 to 4 days.
Demersals from a tinny? Its a 3.6m stacer with a 15 johnson on it. Tiny tinny i know.
Any thoughts guys are appreciated. also is it possible to dive from the beach for crays around that area?
A real novice, any info would be grouse.

Buying a car outside of WA - advice
Submitted by John the Pom on Mon, 2011-04-18 22:50I'm looking at buying a car soon (well a Pajero hopefully).
Been looking at prices on car sales, but someone the other day mentioned that you can get cars cheaper from NSW/VIC, pay for the shipping and still end paying less than WA prices.
Spent a bit of time googling this, but not come up with much.
Does anyone have any experience of this and if so could they let me know what they thought of it?
Also, anyone that has any general car buying advice for WA it would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Stella handle issues
Submitted by Alan James on Sun, 2011-04-17 12:22I was reading on another website of issues some anglers were having with the rubber handles on the Stellas and other Shimano reels. Apparently the rubber is becoming tacky and breaking down as a result of coming into contact with maybe inox, gulp juice or sunscreen. Another person commented that the rubber soft keys in his Furuno sounder was suffering a similar complaint.
Anyone here had similar problems?

@#$%@# - get a job and quit trying to get rich at others expense.
Submitted by alfred on Thu, 2011-04-14 17:59Had the store alarm go off this morning at 3am. My mobile get the signal followed by a call from the monitoring center. Grabbed the keys and headed up to find the front glass door smashed. Called the cops to inform them what happened. Looked thru the window and there didn't seem to be anybody in there, so I kept the cops on the phone and went in to check. All clear, no one in the store. Was told that a car was on the way.
The cops arrived quick smart and were very professional, took a bunch of pictures as I went thru the security camera footage.
3 persons, hooded walk up to the store, unwrap a hammer and smash the glass to try to get in. Alarm goes off and they split. Okay, they didn't get anything, but it really screwed up my day. What was supposed to be a full day on the water with Till, but ended up being on the phone with the insurance company and glazier to get the damage fixed.
In this day and age, while the food cost, labour cost rent are so high, every cent that comes in goes to the bank. Now I have to fork out for repairs and higher insurance at the next renewal.
I don't need this.
Once again - sorry Till for having to cancel at the last minute.

Geraldton Boat Show: Xtreme Coolers
Submitted by Xtreme Coolers on Mon, 2011-04-11 20:34Hi all
The Geraldton Boat Show is on this weekend running on Saturday the 16th - Sunday the 17th of April. Xtreme Coolers will be exhibiting at the show. I will be bringing up the current range which ranges from 27litres to 260litres. I did not plan on taking a 260litre so if you are dead keen on seeing/purchasing one then let me know and i will put one in. I will also bring up a few 50 and 80litre fibreglass models.
There will be good numbers available in the 27 - 100litre models. I only have 5 XT120litre in marble remaining and good numbers of XT100litre Mack boxes in orange, marble and white. I am out of stock in blue.
In the larger boxes there are a few 150litre and 180 litre boxes available in blue and marble. The XTSH210litre is sold out in blue but still 2 remaining in the marble. I will bring these with me.
I will also have the new Evapac cryovac machine up there which is a great packing machine for fish and other meats.
If you would like to put your name to one of these boxes then PM or give Dave a call on 0403978583. Check the website for all details regarding each size and model at xtremeproducts.com.au
Looking forward to coming up to Gero, for the show and to meet some more FW members.
Come down to site 10B at the show. I also suggest you check out the Smoke Shack who is doing some great smokers.
Regards
Dave Allen
