Just like many fishos, catching a barra in your own boat has been on the wish list for 30 years. My partner and I have been travelling the West but managed to get work in Darwin. So here we are in Darwin! People up here are awesome and so friendly and we've had lots of offers to go camping and fishing. This weekend, the tides were right to fish Shady Camp in a boat and we got an offer to head out that way. Fishing Shady isn't straight forward as there are plenty of Snapping Geckos out that way. Also, you have to know the tides so going with someone who has been out that way was a massive help. Anyway, here's a video of how our day went.

This was filmed first weekend in March and the weekend after the first video I posted.
Looks like the same large school was hanging in the surf, out of casting range again. 
Day 2, we couldn't see the large school but had a couple of smaller schools in it's place that finally came a reasoanble distance from the beach.
Quality Tailor for Chris that must have been sitting in the Salmon school. 
Have found the new best beach camping spot I've ever stayed in as well.

Sound issues are improving, I now have a deadcat to put over the mic. My next challenge is filming the strike on the lure with the drone. Damn the fish can move fast when they want to!

 Hey Guys. Here's a video of our visit to Bremer Bay for a bit of land based Bream fishing. It also shows cleaning and cooking the Bream. Enjoy!

 We're travelling around the West and this video shows some 'bread-and-butter' fishing in Walpole WA. We caught mainly whiting but I had an Eagle Ray hook up on my whiting rig! Enjoy.

Great Free fun and kids loved it, turnout was probably a little larger than last year and plenty of Snapper to hand out to release.

Peak Sportsfishing and Eddy Lawler need no introduction around here. 
We fished with them last October and went 7.6.6 on Blue Marlin with 4 taken on the pitch up to 400lbs. 
In the end its not about the number of fish you get to the boat its the times you are lucky enough to see and feel their raw power, there is nothing like a Blue hitting the the afterburners and lighting up the ocean and its even more exciting watching them crash bite a bait you're feeding back to them. 
We were lucky to capture a few of these moments on camera..
