 Hey Shepheard,

There's a YouTube series by World Cat that dispels a few myths about twin hull boats - you may get a few pointers from that.

This is the first of them regarding trim. If you go to their channel you'll find the others, think there's about six in all.

We've got a 5.2 Twinfisher ali cat and find the major difference is the sensitivity to trim, but you work that out pretty quick.

Have always liked the look of the Leisure cats -  they are a beast.

All the best with your new boat and STAY SAFE.

 Cheers Red Dog

I will check it out

As you said the trim plays a big part in it.

I worked that out pretty quick to keep it level.

When you get used to her

In a following sea you can learn to walk the cat.  Basically it's timing ...small turns off the steering wheel to shift the balance of the boat from one sponson to the other.  Cats seem to be at their most difficult when being pushed in the following sea and one side grabs hard and the boat responds turning hard left or right into a broaching position. By learning to walk the cat you make these minor corrections which make the sponsons less likely to grab.  Good fun too

I have a 7.2 Leisurecat, and love it.

Do yourself a favour and head down to Leisurecat and spend an hour with Kevin Horsley. Its all about setup, and most importantly... trim. Once you know what to look for, they are unstoppable.
