Loose reel in reel mount - need a fix
Submitted by stonedpirate on Sun, 2016-01-03 14:08Hi all
I bought a second wilson MT8144 rod but this time its the alvey version.
The reel is loose when fully clamped inside the reel mount.
I tried putting electircal tape around the reel "feet" but its still wobbles around.
Anyone know a more permanent way to fix this?
Thanks

Abalone today
Submitted by Madmerv on Sun, 2016-01-03 10:07Mate of mine, Bluey, wanted to show his son, Jeff, the ropes on how to get some abbs. Not knowing any decent spots NOR i took him down to a little secret spot i used to dive 35 years ago, yesterday for some reconinance. Weather was great and the abbs were there in abundance just off the reef.
Headed down there this morning just before 7am and BLOODY HELL. It is no secret spot. There were hundreds of people there.
Most of the families there were of the non-swimming kind and very few of them even had masks on. I have to ask the question of how do you see if the abbs are size before plucking if you cant even see them. Most of the people were just feeling around, without a guage in hand, and plucking them off.

If you look real close you can see the people in the hundreds right up to the next headland.

While looking around the beautiful model Lily found this number plate bent in half and tossed in the ocean. Looks like there is a stolen car out there now with new plates on it. If you know anybody in the northern area with a car stolen recently then it might be worth mentioning to them. The authorities have been informed.

Airmar p66
Submitted by rossco21 on Thu, 2015-12-31 13:54Hi guys was just wondering any advice on removing my p66 transducer. Recently purchased a boat with one on it and sits far to high in the water can barley sound at 5 knots. The destructions say to open the lock tab then put two screw drivers either sides of a bevel. Had a quick try but not wanting to break it so I thought I'd consult the experts
Cheers Rosco.

Recommend Rod for Shimano Saragosa 10000
Submitted by dowders on Thu, 2015-12-31 13:28Hey guys, i am after a recommendation for a rod for a Shimano Saragosa 10000. It is mainly used for bottom bouncing and is really going to be a spare / occasional use.
I have other jigging master rods as i like the short rod and they are quite thin, but probably dont want the expense, unless i can get one reasonably priced second hand. Does anyone want to throw up some suggestions?
Cheers

It's jagging day

Peppermint grove beach salmon
Submitted by lachieH on Wed, 2015-12-30 22:00hi everyone, in May next year I am probably heading to peppermint grove beach for a few days. I was thinking that it would be about the right time of the year for salmon as well. I was just wondering, do the schools come close enough to the beach to cast lures around there and is it a good location for salmon fishing?
thanks,
lachie

Replacement Ignition Keys
Submitted by Work to Fish on Wed, 2015-12-30 14:21Hi All,
Need help purchasing replacement key for my late model Johnson outbaord (electric start) - snapped the only key I had.
I have worked out that I need series 77 and key # 67, but the only person I can find online that sells replacement keys is in the US (via Ebay) and they do not deliver to Australia.
If I can't get a replacement key, I guess I will need to buy a new ignition/key set and have it installed (more expensive option).
Any suggestions???
Cheers
Shane
