NEW rods from Oceans Legacy
Submitted by Southside boati... on Fri, 2019-10-25 10:43JUST LANDED!
A couple of new ones just dropped from Oceans Legacy!
The NEW "FOCAL" range of spin rods are extremely versatile, with three models; PE2 at 7"2', PE3 at 7"4', and PE4 at 7"6'. These rods have been designed to suit a number of different styles of fishing such as flicking soft plastics, casting and working stickbaits, and could be used drifting baits down for snapper etc...
Also NEW to the Market are some heavier models in the popular Adrenalin Deep Game series of jigging rods. The new models are PE5-10 rated and 5" in length. These come in both spin and overhead, and would be ideal for jigging super deep water, or just to stop those XXL Sambos, Kingfish, Doggies etc..

Dunsborough whiting on lures
Submitted by davewillo on Thu, 2019-10-24 10:45
Heading to Dunsborough for a few days and thought I might have a crack at whiting on lures. We're staying on the western side of town and I'd prefer to wander around that area rather than jump in the car. Anyone know if they're hitting lures down there this time of year and any suggestions on areas to try?
Cheers

imagine it may be a bit heavy but you can see where this tech is going - boat builders of the future will be designers who sell plans for you to take to someone to "print'

Rock fishing rod and reel ideas
Submitted by chris1108 on Tue, 2019-10-22 20:57Just keen to hear other peoples suggestions of which rod and reel would be ideal for heavy rock fishing.
I'm planning a few trips over the next 12 months and Quobba is at the top of the list.
Budget is healthy but I'm trying to set some limits for myself. If I can keep it under $700 for rod and/or reel that would be good. I've already got a 10K and 25K Saragosa, but might invest in one more reel yet.
The main question is, which rod would others suggest? Thanks.

. Wahoo it is
Submitted by brown364 on Tue, 2019-10-22 13:19Gday Peeps,
looking at a new trailer for the thunderbird and I have taken interest in the wahoo tandem 2000kg. there is a small write up/discussion on these from a couple of years ago though i cannot fro the life of me find any reviews or followup info on them. If anyone has any info to share it would be great to hear. The 5.5k looks attractive for the goods, its just getting my head around an ikea trailer. TIA
After alot of deliberation I decided on the flatpac ally. My reasonining was that other galv tube trailers in that range $ & specs, just dont look substantial enough these days plus the tube thing... I beam makes more sense to me. Picked it up friday and slipped it in the van which was a relief after them saying it wont fit. Grabbed some Duralac from Whitworths today to use on the plated joints to barrier between the galv bolts and the ally plates and also just to seal those areas from salty ingress. I will endevovour to put pics up of the build this weekend. As I found it challenging to get a hold of Reviews for the product, I will be open to questions as required from my end with the product. Tight lines all and bring in thouse cockroaches!

Fishing Albany November - February
Submitted by Ahkarboy on Sat, 2019-10-19 22:03Hey guys,
I will be posted in Albany hospital for work in a couple of weeks and will be there for a 3 month stint and am very keen on going fishing there.
I only have a 2wd Camry and love fishing with lures, not so much with bait but I will if it will get me a fish to bite.
I was wondering on where to fish and what's out there from November to End of January. I've been noting that most people fish west of albany at west cape Howe and the steps for yellowtail kingfish and bonito but was wondering if it was 2wd accessible?
Any pointers would be great and would be much appreciated!
Am also a keen rock climber but I've only got a harness and shoes if anyone else is also keen for a climb!

Pemberton
Submitted by luke george on Mon, 2019-10-14 11:41Hey guys I'm heading to pemberton for 3 nights at the end of the month and am after a bit of info on areas to fish. I've done well on heartbreak trail and big Brook dam for redfin in the past although its been many years since I've been down there. Not after secret spots but mainly just the best ways to access parts of the donnelly, Warren River and lefroy Brook and also what the water levels are like at the moment. I'll be taking a kayak and am keen to do a bit of exploring for myself but I want to avoid dragging it to far through the scrub before finding water. Mainly after redfin but any help would be appreciated, Cheers
