Hey Peeps. Just heard about this place from chatting to people. I read an old forum topic which didn't give the place great reviews but it was from 2012. Has anyone had any recent experience here? It does seem rather expensive at $25 per Kg but could be wrong. And couldn't see much about accommodation or if they even have any on site. Wouldn't mind learning to fly fish though :)

Hi All, We are stopping in at Carnarvon for the night on our way to Exmouth and were hoping to find a spot to have a bit of a fish. In the past we have gone to the jetty but I believe its now closed. Has anyone got any tips for a spot to have a cast for a possible Tailor or Mulla. I Was looking on the map and come across Miabooyla beach. Has anyone ever fished it(worth a shot?) and if so is it a boggy beach. Thanks in Advance if anyone has any pointers

Hey Peeps. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck crabbing this time of year? If so are there any places you would suggest? With this shitty weekend coming up i was thinking it might be nice to give it a crack seeing there is going to be nothing better to do. I would generally go around the bend from the raffles on those jetties with my cousin but we had been having no luck during peak season. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks everyone. :)

no cod this trip but we managed some nice big nannys and pinks,

I am looking at getting a reasonably cheep combo for shallo water snapper and some jigging, i was looking at the shimano spheros 5000 and the shimano revolution offshore 20-30lb. I was wondering if anyone has owned either and could tell me if the they were any good, or tell me if there is a better deal out there.

we use them for bait up north but since being down south with all the ribbon weed in the bay, I have had some

real trouble finding any sand whiting 

not wanting peoples spots, just an idea of where to try

Have any of you fellas launched a decent sized boat at little bay north of Horrocks?  To me the main launching place in town looks more hassle than its worth but little bay looks easy enough.

Sure its a ten minute drive but that's easily made up if you don't have a shit fight when retrieving...

 I took a 1.5 hour road trip to fish a new location and really struggled with the fishing. Can anybody else relate to this? I really should do my homework before going to new places!

 Hey guys just got a quick question for those that like to throw lures. 

Heading upto the montes in just over a month on montebello Island Safari’s and have got almost all the rods for the different types of fishing I'm planning on doing but 1. I'm basically looking for a cheapish rod I can use for throwing 60g xrap divers/stickbaits etc at schools of mackerel and possibly smaller gts. I've had a look around and come up with a couple of potential rods but would like your opinions as I may be completely off. 

Abu Garcia veritas 7' 8-15kg lw: 18-85g

T curve revo offshore 10-15kg lw: 30-100g

Ive got a 8k biomaster laying around which will hopefully do the job, will this combo work? 

Also if anyone has a blue gomoku rod they may want to sell let me know, cheers :) 

 Agonised about where to fish today. Two Rocks for demersals or go chase some KGW.

Decided to chase kgw and managed to find 5. Sizes varied between 47 and 52cm.

Pretty happy to land our target species.
