The Great White and Bronze Whaler Problem
Submitted by Superfish on Tue, 2017-12-26 08:02Sadly the good old days of diving surfing and even swimming are gone for many of us due to the excessive numbers of sharks that can breed out of control and the risk they pose to the public. My dear mother has always said no cray, no fish, is worth risking your life for. I spent hundreds of hours as a young bloke diving at Burns Beach ,Rotto, Point Perron and surfing at Scarborough Beach. Up until 2010 i used to swim from Brighton Beach to Trigg Point and back but gave it away due to the White Shark Problem. My wife asked can we do and about about this sad situation or is it to late? Lastest media is WA IS GREAT WHITE CENTRAL.

Slay for sale
Submitted by meglodon on Tue, 2017-12-26 02:07For sale 1 red slay
plenty of wood left on the runners used for one season only, corners very well under power and has brakes to both runners.
6 reindeer, all look slightly knackered. Will no doubt put on condition if put in a good paddock for the next 12 months.
1 large red suit with red cap with white pompom on top.
1 set of boots very well polished
A couple of hanger-on elves who won't get of the slay.
Sorry couldn't help myself merry Christmas " fellow wreckers"

Christmas crays
Submitted by Ryan C on Mon, 2017-12-25 10:32Here are the crays ready for the entree at lunch today , split tails on the bbq with garlic butter , then smothered in my bacon , spring onion and cream sauce with a touch of chicken stock , been a family favourite for a few years now , my mum lived at the Abrolhos for years as my grandfather was a cray fisherman so I found a recipe she looks forward too.

Cooked Crays
Submitted by mykel on Mon, 2017-12-25 08:20Hi!,
I thawed some crays out for Christmas Lunch . They were cooked the same as previosly and frozen the same.
I thawed them in the fridge and shelled them as soon as ready. All looked perfect. then by the time i had finished shelling the meat on the first one was turning black, I cut this off and put the rest of teh meat back in the fridge in a clean container. Got them out to prepare for lunch and they are completely black?
Any ideas, and is it safe to salvage some meat and eat it?

Mandurah early morning run
Submitted by hilly9 on Sun, 2017-12-24 10:17Went out of mandurah early this morning hoping there were still some snapper hanging around our cray pots. We weren't disappointed. They came on the bite straight away before it all went quite at 530am. Quick check of the pots for a couple of crays and back to the ramp . Great pre-christmas present. Stoked.

Esperance fishing
Submitted by flash as on Mon, 2017-12-18 16:15Hi all, So the family and myself have come down to esperance for 3 weeks holidays over Xmas! Arrived today and almost settled ready to explore and find some fun fishing locations.Looking for spots I can take the wife and 3 young daughters (all 5 and under) to have some fun. Also looking for some spots for myself and father inlaw and brother inlaw for some adult fishing fun with the hope of something a bit bigger, maybe an overnighter or 2! Have tried the search function but it won’t work off my phone for some reason? I have a capable 4wd and good fishing knowledge. Just after a point in the right direction as this is my first time here. Also keen on a day or 2 out on the boat if anyone is looking for an experienced decky, obviously pay my way and very experienced on boat have all my my own gear and would love a decent fish for Xmas dinner! Thanks in advance for any replies and appreciate all your time. Thanks Adam and the family and merry Xmas to all
