So, I've just about had a gutsfull of the portable ipod speaker jumping all over the boat in any sort of chop and think the hand held radio I have might be insufficient also. Has anyone got the GME all in one AM/FM/VHF radio? It's got the 3.5mm jack for aux input, looks like it would be a goer. As a media player, would be enough for me, but is the VHF radio any good. Certainly a space saver.

Edit: Sorry, read a bit closer, it's only VHF reciever, not transmitter!!!

 Been getting into a few pinkies off busso and cowaramup lately in 15-30m. Seems like the storms are bringing the big boys we normally get wide pretty close. This one went 96cm

Would tomorrow night be good for Busso jetty fishing?

I want to catch a bigger species like tailor or bonito.

I'm heading up to Exxy from 18th to 27th May. I'm bringing a bit of fishing gear up, want to try and explore the land based options. I've read pages of searches so have a good plan. I just wanna know whats firing at the moment, any special pointers and who's gonna be up there.  Ive also got a day booked with Peak sport fishing and may possibly have a spot available if anyone is keen.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If anyones got a spare spot on a boat one day i'll be more than appreciative to jump on. Obviously pay my way bait, fuel etc.

Iam heading down to Denmark over the long weekend coming up and i was hoping have a chance at the salmon that everyones been talking about so much :)

I was thinking of giving Mcgeary's Rock a go as it seems like a good spot!!

I was just wondering if anyone has any info on whats bitting down that way atm  and beach spots that might be a bit safer for me to take the missus with me for a fish :)

Ive got the old man visiting from over East and want to take him out on the boat for a quick fish tomorrow morning. I cant seem to find daily licenses on the WA fisheries website. Do you rerally need to buy a 12 month license to fish for 1 day of the year? In Vic they have daily licenses sold at most tackle shops?

 Hi all, just looking over some charts for a few spots for Saturday and have noticed a few holes out wide. I know we normally fish lumps but has anyone had success fishing this sort of thing? Depth is from 30-40 and 40-55.

I have the chance to get some fishing line for next to nothing

It is a 'hollow' line possibly 'dacron'

white/cream in color, with one dark grey/blue thread wound through it

It is roughly as thick as string, (does NOT look like string) and wound onto a damaged hand line, it looks like it would be good for 20 plus Kg fishing at least - I think - but I will admit up front I have no clue at all.

I've looked on various fishing adds on the net but can't see it advertised anywhere so thought I should ask the guys who use the stuff.

It is not shiny like Mono

It is hollow

it is round

I could only change the views between optional GPS views and could not get any Sonar views

have I missed something simple with set up?

Just wandering what your thoughts are on having the stereo on while fishing in shallow water.

Anyone think it puts fish off?

 My electric boat winch cable  is fraying and needs to be replaced and I am seeking advice as per below.

1. Should I replace with steel cable again or is there something better to use.(running it through a roller hook)

2. Any recomendations to where to buy from ( south of river)

Was always led to believe the foxfish was excellent eating but just read that this sites fish species ID has that it is average eating.
Whats others take on it?
No doubt will keep the next one I catch and try for myself but curious to know others thoughts from experience.

 The girlfriends parents are in today at around 2 pm, so I'm going to go chuck some lures around trigg, never been there but I've researched enough ( many thanks to the posters on this site) to hopefully get onto some fish later in the day, is anybody interested in a cast? If so let us know, I'm always stoked to learn some new things and to share some bullshit haha
