Lowrance Transducer
Submitted by tennis coach on Mon, 2019-11-25 09:43Hi Guys,
On the look out for an unused Lowrance transducer
We picked up a pot and it managed to snag around the bracket and has broken the tranduscer, the bracket is Ok but the transducer snapped just below the wiring
Thought I would see if any one has one lying around that are not using before I shop online
Cheers

Crayfish Charters
Submitted by Specialist Fish... on Sun, 2019-11-24 14:57Okay the crays have started to fire up/walk and the "White Run" of Crays only hang around in large numbers for a short time so maximise this great opportunity. Nothing better than catching your own Fresh Crayfish for Christmas and enjoying the Cray Charter experience.
We're going out daily weather permitted and if the weathers nice we're doing morning and afternoon Cray Charters.
Departing from the Sardine Jetty located at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbor and " to book your spot " either message us or call Jess at the office on 0407 259 399
More details; Crayfish (craypots) and Whiting charter, come and catch/keep one of the most popular seafood in the world, the Western Australian Rock Lobster. Also if time permits after doing the crayfish charter we will target the sweet tasting King George Whiting & Sand Whiting.
Half Day, up to 4 hours, Max 5, $200 per person. We operate 2 crayfish charters per day ie mainly morning but afternoon also "weather permitting". All gear is supplied plus bottled water. (BYO Alcohol)

point samson land based
Submitted by DOGFISH on Sat, 2019-11-23 14:47Hi all, I am heading up to point samson for a bit. I don't have a boat. I am used to SW fishing with baits but lures are ok. Can anyone give me a few details as to places to try and species to target up that way? (without giving away secrets of course). Last time I was there for a day I tried the river causway but only got undersize bream - baitfishing. The main beach was blown out.

Elusive Lobsters
Submitted by blu2fish on Sat, 2019-11-23 08:23We usually drop our cray pots out the back of the 5 Fathom Bank about now to chase the whites and just wondering if anyone has dived that area as I've heard reports that the crays are few and far between, we go out of Mary Street Lagoon down here in Mandurah, there were 4 pro boats working that area earlier on but wouldn't have thought they would have cleaned all the cockroaches out.

Headed to Jurien for the first time for the xmas period...Thought we'd take the cray pots as seems to be a few up there ? WOndering if anyone has feedback on 'rough' depths/direction/inside V's outside o f the reef etc. at Jurien. Any general info would be appreciated to get me started, as i'm sure there will be a few pots out once we are up there anyways.
Will be headed out for a fish too if the wind plays its part :)
thanks

King George Whiting - Charter Spots Available
Submitted by Specialist Fish... on Mon, 2019-11-18 21:41With the demersal closure in place all the way through and inclusive of 15th December there still are things to do both recreationally and on our charter. Recently Ryan and customers have been doing well on plump offshore King George Whiting (KG's) and they would have to be one of the best eating table fish in the ocean by far. We have a few spots available for this Thursday 21st Nov. There's a nice break in the weather and the boys may pull their pots also so big KG's and "Crays" =)
Charter info > Full Day, up to 8 hours, Max 5, $230 All fishing gear is supplied but you can bring your own. All charters include morning tea or coffee, lunch and bottled water. (BYO Alcohol) If you have any questions in regards to bookings or equiries please either message us or call Jess at the office on 0407 259 399

Popping for whiting in the Swan River
Submitted by davewillo on Mon, 2019-11-18 16:11Anyone had much success with whiting on lures in the Swan? Was wondering if the flats around Como, Applecross or around East Freo are productive at all. Could always just try and find out I guess!

Good day out
Submitted by sea-kem on Sun, 2019-11-17 09:42After a massive night on the wine and still thinking our ramp was inacessible due to not enough beach sand I woke up to see a flat ocean and someone had used a bobcat to fill the end of the ramp wooo.
Hangover receded as we got the boat ready even though it was a light Whiting bash, after 6 months of no fishing we were hungry for any kind of sesh.
Anyway as the pic shows the big KGW's were about, I dropped at least 3 :( as we were only in 7m of water and boy do they go hard!!!

Rookie mistake, left the muffs on!
Submitted by the_lane on Sat, 2019-11-16 22:05So, took the boat out this afternoon.
All going well, motor running fine; water stream coming out. Went at about 15 knots for about 10 minutes. Put boat in idle and suddenly alarm started sounding. After a minute it stopped. Not sure what the alarm was; so decided to head back to the ramp slowly. Engine seemed to lack power, then suddenly kicked back in again as normal.
I gave it a few mins and then stopped again. Once again alarm sounded so I headed back in slowly at 10-12 knots. No smoke or strange noises or smells.
When I got to the ramp I found that I had somehow left the muffs on!!! (what a pratt). So I had probably run for around 20-30 mins in total with muffs on. Between 8-15 knots.
Got home and let it cool for an hour, then hooked up the muffs and ran it at idle for 10 minutes. Water always coming out and it was not hot.
Could I have potentially done some damage? What should I check before heading out again?
