SALMON
Submitted by max199 on Thu, 2007-03-08 15:47Went dowm south with half of Perth on the long weekend looking for some salmon. Haven't explored much but managed to find a medium sized bay south of Indijup point. Saw a couple of good sized schools of what looked like salmon.Managed only 1 good sized fish of 5kg. At the most there were probably 10 people spread out within this bay and with only 3 people fishing.
Bloody awsome sight seeing a school come in with a wave with the sunlight lighting their shapes up. Really exciting stuff.Weather was okay with a med easterly in the morning which was off shore where i was then later a sea breeze. Saw a few boats trolling but nothing caught, atleast with what i saw with my binoculars. Any else went down south??

Couch fishing
Submitted by billy chase on Sun, 2007-03-04 17:15Gday,
Just wondering if anyone here knows of any programs available to search for new spots while not actually out on the boat?
I once heard a fella say that he had a program on his computer, but never got the name of the program off him (or a copy). Ive tried google'n it, but no success so far.
It would be good if there was one, currently sitting here 300kms for the water dreaming of catching the next big one!!!!
any help would be most appreciated.
Cheers

Perfect Flatsboat/Bream/Estuary boat!
Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 2007-03-02 14:35Just 6 months ago I purchased Rod Pallister's (Owner of Joondalup Boatshack) personal bream/flats boat that he'd owned.
When this machine went up for sale I grabbed it straight away for the price and had very good intentions to use it. The down side is I use my new 6.5m Whiltley boat all the time and the little one has only been used a few times. A nice boat but not worth keeping for a few trips only. My big boat is 13 months old with 440 hours on the motor.....you get my drift, I dont use the smaller boat so it's for SALE.
It's 4.5m, f/G, very stable, fully floored, large fully plumbed live tank, self draining deck, under floor storage, rod holders, grab rails, Min Kota ready but it doesn't have one, on a Polmac roller trailer, jockey wheel, Yamaha 40HP tiller steer, motor, 20l fuel tank (more fuel tank storage underneath), near new prop, trailer just been serviced, new fuel line....I've spent money on it as you do when buying a boat!
Myself and my cousin Jimmy who's a solid lad stood on one side of this boat and it didn't move, a very stable platform for fly, bream, flats, river fishing, estuary or just cruising around!
Minn Kota and seat pictured not included, that's the way I purchased it!
Asking $4,950 ono
Call 9337 5682 between working hours and ask for Ryan or PM me.

Weekend Metro Forecast - 24/25th Feb
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Fri, 2007-02-23 08:35Saturday: E/SE winds 15/20 knots, reaching 20/25 knots offshore for a period in the morning. Seas 1.5m to 2.0m. Swell to 1.5m.
Sunday: E/NE winds 15/20 knots, reaching 20/25 knots offshore for a period in the morning.
Looks like it might be a little uncomfortable out there offshore this weekend. Hiding in close may be worth a short and Sunday after lunch doesn't look too bad on Seabreeze.
Anyone got any fishing plans in place for the weekend?
Good luck to all and tight lines,
Adam

Fishing riddle.
Submitted by SPESS on Thu, 2007-02-22 11:18Theres a bloke who caught a black marlin that wieghed 500kg. He caught it while on a trip out on the barrier reef on a 65 foot charter boat on his very last day. He carries the memory with himself all the time. Both of the boat and the fish. He only could show the memory to his mates 2 weeks after the trip but seen his mates a week after but couldnt prove it. There was a photo taken of the capture but he lost it before he showed his mates. How did he show his mates the picture of the fish that he always carries? Some people would know the answer some wouldnt. Fire away!
