O2 Sensor
Submitted by Peko on Wed, 2016-03-30 19:18Heading out today and all of a sudden I get a 3-6 alarm on my 300HP Suzuki. I know this is an O2 alarm because its happened previously. Once the engine is warm the alarm stops. The first sensor was replaced at 150 hours but now 150 hours later it seems it may need replacing again. Has anybody else had ongoing Oxygen sensor problems with Suzukis?

Charter Stories
Submitted by Brock O on Wed, 2016-03-30 12:55Any body got any Good / Bad charter stories, no need to name and shame the bad but would be good to hear what sort of things can and do happen.
Myself over the years, Mills from Hillarie's, was an OK day, no fantastic catches but enjoyable enough, one out of Port Bouvard Mandurah, was also a great day with good crew.
Buy far the best was the 2013 Abrolhos trip on Top Gun, didn't have to lift a finger, food and fishing was great, deckies were onto it and skipper Aldo was laugh.
Mate was just telling me the other day about a charter were the skipper was presumed to be on Drugs, constantly slamming the female deckie while the other deckies spent just as much time as others fishing, couldn't believe what I was hearing!!
Heading to the Abrolhos again in 3 weeks, hoping for another great trip.

Trolling for Salmon
Submitted by top notch on Wed, 2016-03-30 03:24Hey guys,
Just wondering what type of lures people are using when trolling for salmon? I'm guessing once you find a school they will almost take anything but while under motor while looking for the schools what do people find successful hanging out the back and what speeds do you motor at?
Cheers

Night Fishing in Cockburn Sound
Submitted by breamspanked on Tue, 2016-03-29 15:10Hi guys, new to this forum so please be gentle.
Going with a mate tonight in the sound and was wondering if it's a spot that produces much at night? I realize it's a big area but I'm new to boating and he's recently moved over from east coast and doesn't know it very well.
Should we planning to crack a few reds at home instead haha?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Fisheries funny
Submitted by little johnny on Mon, 2016-03-28 14:47Went for quick tank dive. Got a few Crays in close. Then from there went and got a few occys in cockburn . Got searched while going for occy( few phone calls again apparently dob in fisherman) lol . Going for crabs( don't think so). All good very nice and polite they where. Funny side few hundred meters away barbie on back of yacht 3 crab nets out . People eating crabs throwing shells in water.. Really funny in my books sorry but if they where not to busy in checking me and watching me they could have got someone actually doing wrong( crabs). Once again dob in fisherman really works. Why didn't I point it out you may ask. For all I know he could have sailed in from Mandurah and was washing his crab nets and bait in cockburn:):):). They where mint guys but I am still laughing about it. They need new target I think. Dive flag up at all times. Maybe that's where I went wrong. Hope everyone had good Easter

Snapped stradic handle
Submitted by scotto on Mon, 2016-03-28 10:44Anyone seen this before?
Snapped off at the handle and stem/spindle, on a 10 month old 5000 FJ stradic. It actually let go as I was putting it back in a rod holder! Looks as though both the handle and the spindle have fatigue cracks though?
anyway, hopefully I can find the receipt and claim warranty, otherwise where is good to buy parts?

Swan Ramps
Submitted by Cowboy on Fri, 2016-03-25 19:53G'day All,
Have recently upgraded the tinny to a 5.6m Voyager. Wondering what's the largest size boat people comfortably launch from the Point Walter ramps? Or am I better off going around to Leeuwin? Any and all advice gratefully received.

Baking A Snapper
Submitted by Cowboy on Fri, 2016-03-25 19:40Evening all, I caught a lovely fat 3kg Snapper in the Sound this arvo, and he has an urgent date with the Weber Q (gas). We have stuffed him and wrapped him in foil, but I need some advice please on heat setting and cooking time? Is ten mins per kg about right? Full bore or a lower heat setting? Any help very much appreciated!!!

Submitted by randall df223 on Fri, 2016-03-25 19:12Friend went for her morning swim at port beach this morning and came across this 2 m tiger shark. Obviously caught last night and left on the beach. I trust it wouldn't be anyone from this forum but it makes me angry to see this just left to die on the beach.

Whats your best Easter catch
Submitted by Bluetonic on Thu, 2016-03-24 19:59Whats your best ever Easter catch?
Years ago when my son was young, haha! and I was still married, I went away leading up to Easter to catch a Dhuie off the rocks at S Bend.
And I bl#@dy achieved it.
My son is 26 now but still never forget how good it was. Our pic was at S Bend caravan park for years and we got in the West.
