microwave guides
Submitted by crezz on Tue, 2013-09-24 03:44has anybody tryed the microwave guide system on there rods? im thinking about building my next rod with this line system. apparentley you can cast further because of less friction and smaller loops when casting.

Another f*%£#en storm coming through.
Submitted by Dale on Sun, 2013-09-22 18:09I'm well and truly over these storms coming through every other bloody day. It's not the rain so much, but the bloody wind. I lost another tree last night and my radio antennas are an endangered species also. Bout time for some warm weather and sunny days.

Rubberized spray on or rolled on boat flooring
Submitted by Frank F on Fri, 2013-09-20 19:34Hi just wondering if any one recently has had like a spray on or rolled on rubberized paint on their boat floor.
Thinking about getting it done, just want to know what experiences people have had.
Can it be high pressure cleaned without damaging it?
How long does it last?
And will it stop eskys sliding around?
cheers

Any Auto Sparkies out there???
Submitted by the_dude84 on Wed, 2013-09-18 17:46Basically to cut a long story short, I took my 80 series diesel up the powerline track and overdid it on the water crossings side of things :( Now some of my electronic aren't working-indicators(hazards still work though and tick) fan and air con, speedo and odometer. I've had a look at fuses, etc and can't find anything visably wrong. Any advice would be appreciated! If there is any auto sparkies out there- I pay cash! I don't think it would take much to fix- I just can't figure it out myself!

Exmouth Help
Submitted by 6157 on Mon, 2013-09-16 13:20Hey Guys,
Me and three mates are heading up to Exmouth in 2 weeks for a fishing/ spearfishing trip. We are taking a boat. I was just after any advice on where to fish and what we can expect at that time of the year. Im not after spots just a general guide in the right direction.
Are there any places that are protected when it gets windy?
I will post the report when i get home and hopefully there are lots of pictures.

Torsion axle or leaf springs?
Submitted by jng on Mon, 2013-09-16 09:49Hi guys.
Still deciding whether to get a brand new trailer with torsion axle or standard leafs.
After peoples opinions on torsion axles. Pro's and cons and would you recommend it. Boat will be a 7.5m ally hardtop
I have been told they require less maintenance and the trailer rides lower allowing for a better tow.
Thanks in advance

Tadpoles
Submitted by Browndog on Sun, 2013-09-15 14:27Hi All, anybody know where I can find tadpoles near Ballajura? I tried the local lake which had loads of small fish (minnows or Gambusia I think) but no tadpoles. The young bloke was learning about them at school so I thought he would be interested to see them in the wild.
Thanks,
BD.

West Kimberley Hogs (dead animal pics)
Submitted by big john on Fri, 2013-09-13 17:52Got a call out of the blue from a mate about 10 weeks ago asking if I'd be interested in spending two weeks shooting pigs in the West Kimberley. The only hiccup being it was during the school term but an understanding boss approved my two weeks long service leave so I was in.
Time went by pretty quickly sourcing some new tyres and various spare parts from the US for the grizzly, arranging ammo etc.
Three other blokes made the trip, enabling us to hunt in two man teams across three different stations. Ended up doing 1450+ kilometres on the quad, starting each day at 4.30am and getting back to camp at 5pm each day. Biggest day was just over 200 kilometres, with a mix of station track and cross country riding.
Pig numbers were a bit down due to the area being unusually dry but we still managed 289 pigs, as a bonus we also cleaned up 37 horses.

Submitted by Paul G on Fri, 2013-09-13 16:07Not 100 % but if the weather is on we will be heading over for the coming long weekend .I know there was a few people intrested in heading over together .I think there could be up to five boats this time .Convoy over and back .do your own thing duing the days and meet back at mooring for raft up ,or you can just meet back for the trip home . You need to be compitant skipper and make sure your boat is all good for the trip ,as I will not be spoiling my weekend to tow anyone back to Gero. If you need any info about the trip pm me.

Possible Scam?
Submitted by Toby Roe on Fri, 2013-09-13 14:12Hi All,
I am selling a few items on gum tree and I was contacted by one a potential buyer asking for a few details about an item. After a couple of rounds of SMS containing details the buyer mentioned that they would like to purchase the item but they wanted to put the money directly into my bank account and have me drop it off at toll once the money had cleared. My concern is that this sounds like a scam but I can’t think how it would work?
What are your thoughts?
Cheers

What the F%^$!
Submitted by big john on Thu, 2013-09-12 20:19A bloke just gets back from two weeks out bush pig hunting to find his plans to watch the Pies play a semi-final this weekend are shot!
How the F%^$ did we lose to PA on our own dung heap? That is crap and a very unsatisfactory end to an up and down year.
Time to prune some old wood from the top of the list, trade Daisy and get some more youth in to the club. Bucks might need to devise a few backup plans as well for next year as plan A doesn't always work no matter how much you persist with it.
On a positive note I rolled some nice big boars with our four man team's total being 289 pigs and 37 horses.
Randall, you bought your GF tickets yet?

Early Friday Funny
Submitted by outdoinit on Thu, 2013-09-12 19:34Why Sharks Circle You Before Attacking
Two great white sharks swimming in the ocean spied survivors of a sunken ship. "Follow me son" the father shark said to the son shark and they swam to the mass of people.
"First we swim around them a few times with just the tip of our fins showing." And they did.
"Well done, son! Now we swim around them a few times with all of our
fins showing." And they did.
"Now we eat everybody." And they did.
When they were both gorged, the son asked, "Dad, why didn't we just eat them all at first? Why did we swim around and around them?"
His wise father replied, "Because they taste better without the shit inside!"
