Bored crapless as we've got no work on, anyone seen any good movies/tv series recently.  I've got a lot of stuff down lately and not been impressed, really need to find a good new series or movie/s to watch, any suggestions?

Onto boardwalk, game of thrones, housos, cali, breaking bad, dexter, trueblood, sons etc, but neeeeed more.

 Guys, I'm copping some grief from the local ranger for having my boat on the verge and need a solution. Can anyone help with a bit of secure real estate NOR where I could store my 18ft boat? I'm willing to pay for it and need it pretty quick. Thanks a lot!

Went along to the 4WD show today with my daughter's boyfriend and checked out what was on offer. A really big thankyou to Dave from Xtreme Coolers for the free pass, very much appreciated.

Dave's got the full range of coolers down there and while we were there, he was really busy so we didn't get too much of a chance to chat but it was great to finally meet him and check out his product. Scored myself a fibreglass 50L 'factory seconds' cooler at a great price...all because it had a tiny chip in the gelcoat. In fact, I couldn't see it until it was pointed out to me.

This one will come in real handy in the boat for food, drinks, etc. Don't forget Dave's deal for FW members...buy a cooler and go in the draw to win your money back

This weekend is the Perth 4WD and adventure show in South Perth. It runs Friday, Sat and Sunday. I am site number 124. This is my one and only large scale sale for the year. The show is extremely competitive and there will be a lot to see and do.

What i would like to do is to offer all FW member who purchases at the show the chance to win their purchase price back in cash$$. Simply come down to the show and purchase a cooler from us and you will go in to the draw to win the cash to the value of your cooler purchased. This is for FW members only not the general public which means you will have a great chance. Last time i did something similar the odds where 1 in 4 chances to win. I would expect the same this weekend.

I've been asked by a good friend to be skipper and use my boat to be a 'support boat' for the Rotto swim next year.

I recall having read about people in the past saying it is a bit of a nightmare, but really how bad is it?

I guess the questions are:

1) if you've done it, would you do it again; and

2) for someone who hasn't done it, is it the sort of thing you'd recommend someone do once? Or best avoided alltogether?

I need to let her know soon, so quick replies appreciated!

Went fishing down canning bridge last night. While we were there we noticed two ski type boats tied up in front of the raffles,obviously partying,lots of noise and music coming from them. Then they decided it would be fun to do some circle work in the middle of the river around each other. Then they went roaring off under the canning bridge at i would say about 20 knots creating a huge wash up on the banks where we were fishing. I would hope these guys werent fw memebers and if they are hang your heads in shame boys as your antics last night were juvenile and dangerous.

If you are out in your boat those lucky enough to have one then have a bit of consideration for us lb fishers. Thats my rant cheers for reading guys

I've started using the go pro with a wifi bacpac via my i-phone.

Bloody brilliant, easy to preview, compose, record, delete etc. Works well, you dont need to be in a cell phone service area either.

I am so so sick and tired of people doing stupid things and then we have to go out and risk our lives to try and find them. I am sorry but anyone who went out in that weather today just to catch a couple of abalone need their head examined.

Our boats were out there in winds that gusted to over 50knots, not to mention the lightning, hail and heavy rain.

I make no apologies for my comment.

 Major search is on for a missing 21 year old washed off rocks this morning. Who would chase Abalone in these conditions. Not worth the risk.

Was at the penny palms in dampier yesterday and every tree in sight had caution tape!! Is some one taking the piss or is this for real? Had to laugh though.

i know theres a few locals from the pilbara on here im gunna need to get from marble bar near work to karratha in the wet season to pick up my boat i know whats going to happen with the shaw river you can bet the port hedland -marble bar rd will be closed same as last year is there another way to get to karratha without getting stuck or should i leave my boat at home way down south of perth at that time of the year any help will be much appreciated thanks

Hi all. just seeking some help and advice on the HDS8 gen 2. I've decided to go with one of these units as I currently have an older model Lowrance and the GPS is good and easy to use but I want to update. Firstly I'm running a Furuno 585 with 1kw tranny can I mount the HDS tranny next to or near it without interferring with the airmar? Secondly I need info on the cards gold,platinum what's better etc. any other info appreciated.

The local (abundant) Kookas have been making a meal of our pond fish, so, on the advice of some SO CALLED EXPERT (Pah!) I bought a plastic owl.

I was ABSOLUTELY ASSURRED that, providing I moved said owl frequently, the kooka wouln't come anywhere near the pond because they would be absolute sh*t scared of the Owl.

Sunday morning, moved owl - only 2 MINUTES later - this shot was taken.

Got to go down in history as one of THE most epic failures!! :

firstly, sincere apologies to all as this has bugger all to do with fishing - its just the only forum i am in so my only choice

i am trying to get my sister's pool fixed so her fam can enjoy it this summer - some lowlife cok screwed their family business over for a lazy few hundred grand and now they're f'd.

so a busted pool filter and chlorinator is the last thing they needed - heck knows they have enough on their plate

can anyone recommend a reliable p ool dudewho works south of the river and is likely to do an honest job for an honest price? i figure it wont be cheap but 4 year old twins will be much easier to deal with if their pool isnt green right? and i just got my bonus so it seems fair to try save my sister from a nervous breakdown, haha

once again, sorry for the purists but im just trying to get some advice so i can do the righty.

Awning blinds, PVC v’s canvas I’m thinking about getting  few installed and was wondering what the difference between the two options is with regards to:

The price overall – I suspect canvas is triple the price?

The difference in temperature? How much cooler was the room after installation 3-4 degrees?

The length of time they are likely to last – canvas from what I have read lasts about 10 years before it needs replacing

How well they hold up with the wind? I suspect they hold up ok as they don’t extend that far out?

Just for the hell of it I’ll record the temperature in the tv room that gets full sun before and after the install if anyone else is interested in knowing? The intention is to get a 3m awning so it covers a reasonable amount of brick around the windows as well.
