Another PayPal Scam???

Hi all

My father inlaw is selling his tinnie and in response to his gumtree add he recieved the following email. I personaly believe it is very suspicious and told him to take cash only. I know this has a previous thread but thought it might be worth reminding unsuspecting sellers to be carefull.

Great, thank you for getting back to me about my message, I agree to buy at your price and i am keen on the buy myself. How I wish i could come for viewing and inspection but being in the military is not funny at all and we are away right now although I will be back in some couple of weeks precisely 9weeks. Due to my inability to make a bank deposit, I would be paying via PayPal which is safer for me and i will cover the paypal transfer fees. Kindly send me a paypal payment invoice or create an account at www.paypal.com.au if you dont have one. I know their are lots of dreamers and time wasters out there but this is real cos I will make a concrete pick up arrangement with my transport agent who will be coming over for pick up once you receive full payment into your PayPal account. Have a nice day. Just few more clear photos will be appreciated as well.

Please be kind enough to resend me your land/mobile phone number and i will try as much as possible to give you a ring soon albeit schedule is very tight for me right now. thanks and get back soon.

I'd like to know certain things too;
Are you the first owner?
What is your reason for selling?
I'm sorry, just want to be sure about the sale before i proceed

Moon phases

On the 31st of march here in the Kimberleys 3 chopper loads of keen fishos headed over to Nulla Nulla billibong, well known around here as asure place to catch cricket scores of Barra. Not this weekend they just weren't biting. 13 fishermen no barras, and to back up the quiet fishing 2 different boats went out into the cambridge gulf on the same day and found the fish to be very slow. Tides were almost dead neap, normally good time to fish. I am locked in for a charter 2 weeks from those dates i hope there is no common factors that will result in very slow fishing. Question ; When if any time is the fishing best or worse down metro way ?

So , how did the comp go

just wondering how the F/W comp went. havnt seen anything on here

Exmouth Temps

Headed to the stainless shop for some beefing up as the bar work couldnt handle the shelf trips and thought it was worth a photo.

Walpole crabs

Hi guys. Does anyone no if the crabs are still being caught down Walpole and peaceful bay.

diy kill bags?

Just wondering what people might have used or seen used as a makeshift insulated bag for fish. I was thinking about getting a double sized blue foam camp mat ( rough 10 mm thick) and sort of folding into something like a 1.3 x 0.4 metre envelope, stitching the sides together sealing with shoe-goo with a strip of velcro for the top. Not the greatest insulation but ok for a few hours? Could even have an extra outer layer of that silver stuff you put on your car windscreen when its hot.

I'm too much of a cheap arse to go buy a large eskie and dont really want the weight at the rear of the boat. Also the proper bags are expensive, this would be for the odd occasion I may pick up a reasonable sized fish.

fooooootttttttttttyyyyyyyy

yeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww its back boys

What extra tools do you take on long fishing trips?

Team gates is busy gearing up for our trip to Coral Bay for the first week of the April school holidays.....we head off on Good Friday and camp overnight at Galena Bridge; should make Coral Bay around lunchtime on 7th April.

As always, there's the packing and repacking of the car and boat, and as usual I'll probably try to take half my shed with me....you know, just in case.

Besides the normal (read 'oversized') toolbox, I usually take a battery drill & tray of drill bits, a 4" angle grinder, extension cord, soldering iron, spare length of trailer cable, extra ropes, recovery gear, extra spare wheel for the trailer, etc. I've also got a small vice that clamps on the tow hitch or trailer draw bar.

Just wondering what else you guys pack for a trip like this one?

Only 8 more sleeps....can't wait!!

regards
rusty...

Project boat

Hi all. You might have seen this in the for sale section. Well I have bought it and this is finally the project I've been wanting to do for a long time. Was originall going to build a boat from scratch but this is more up my alley as I love repairing things. The plan at the moment is to convert it to a center console. This will be a fishermans dream when finished so will be looking for feedback and ideas as I go along.I will post progress pics. The bottom hull integrity is spot on so the damage is mainly on the starboard side as you can see. I will cut off the gunnel rails and the damaged top section of hull will mostly pop out. I will dolly and straighten the dents.

Hi

 Hello everyone!

I'm new here. It's good to be here.

STOLEN BOAT!!! Please keep an eye out

Hey Guys

This boat was stolen from Hillarys Marina on Sunday. It was on the water not on a trailer when it was taken. If anyone sees it or knows anything about it please let us know.

Another stolen Boat

So the low life Scum have been at it again...

Just found out my Bosses 7.5 to 8m razor line Aluminium Hard top was stolen from Hillaries Boat harbour sometime Sunday night.  It was in a pen near the ramp.

The boat is well know and normally launches at Ocean Reef. Called TOO EZE III

It has that very distinctive Chameleon / Harlequin Paint job and white top deck.

The PAINT CHANGES COLOUR FROM GREENS TO PURPLES..

It is unknown whether it was retrieved from the ramp or driven out on water...  Video cameras at the mariner show him mooring the boat at sunset but after that can't see anything till daybreak and the boat is gone..

The boat is powered by a 225 mercury optimax 2 stroke..

Anyone who has seen or sees the boat can call.  Any info on his pride and joy much appreciated...  Oh its also meant that our trip to gnarloo tomorrow has been put on hold.

Mandurah gets coastcam

The Department of Transport's hugely successful Coastcam network has been extended to Mandurah giving local skippers improved information about current sea conditions.

Department of Transport (DoT) Marine Safety Acting Director of Operations Ray Buchholz said there were now six cameras in the Coastcam network located between
Hillarys and Mandurah.

He said the Coastcam network provided comprehensive information to skippers planning a voyage and encouraged boat owners to access the service.

"Skippers using the Coastcam network are automatically given access to a snapshot of current weather, daily tide predictions and a swell height graph produced from the data collected by DoT's wave buoys," Mr Buchholz said.

"All the information is vital in planning a safe day on the water and has been conveniently provided in one online location.

"The new camera at Mandurah significantly enhances the Coastcam service which is already available for Hillarys, Trigg (two cameras north/south), Swanbourne and
Fremantle.

Mr Buchholz said skippers at Mandurah could now visually verify weather forecasts before setting out on a voyage.

"Mandurah is one of the busiest locations in WA for recreational boating and as such thousands of boat owners are expected to benefit from the initiative," Mr Buchholz said.

The new camera is located at the Marine Operations Centre at the Mandurah Ocean Marina and provides a view of Robert Point and the Entrance Channel.

People wanting to access DoT's Coastcam network can visit www.transport.wa.gov.au/coastcams

NZ south isalnd trout fishing

Was reading an old Western Angler mag that had a great article on Trout fishing in some of the rivers in south island NZ. Looked awesome. Was wondering a couple of things...firstly, can you spin with lures in these rivers and secondly, when would be the best time to go?

Any info on the topic would be great
