Tow a boat trailer Perth to Exmouth
Submitted by bouttime on Wed, 2020-03-04 09:39Hey bit of a long shot. Anyone driving up to Exmouth any time soon can tow an empty trailer up. Its only a 6mtr single axle alloy trailer and is empty. Bearings have been done and all rego and roadworthy. Will need to pick up from Chivers Marine in Bibra Lake.
If you can assist before the end of March happy to pay cash for fuel or a days fishing trip off Exmouth.
Cheers

Car/trailer storage at Denham
Submitted by ranmar850 on Wed, 2020-02-26 14:22Some time ago on here, there was a mention of a bloke who will, for a fee, store your car/trailer in his yard if you are doing an extended trip out of Denham. I can't find the thread, does anyone know if he still does it, and a contact? As we can't get a slot to launch at Tamala for easter, looks like we will have to do it from Denham.

How Come no Nic Nat?
Submitted by carnarvonite on Sun, 2020-02-23 18:57How come Nic Nat didn't get picked for the up coming state of origin match?
Not a month ago he said he was raring to play but now a no show. The news tonight says he is in sparkling form so maybe the club says he is too valuable to risk in a fund raising game for the bushfire victims.
Strange that their cross town rivals allow the two best players to play and same goes for the teams from the rest of the competition.

4WD advice (Budget $15-$20k)
Submitted by lrp1 on Sat, 2020-02-22 19:58Hi Guys,
I've had a read of some older threads and have been looking around, but feel a bit lost and was hoping to get some more up to date opinions. I'm looking to buy a used 4WD with a budget up to $20k.
Plan to use it to do some exploring and beach driving, mostly aimed at getting to new places to fish and camp (e.g. Steep Point.) In the future I hope to get something like a 4m tinny to tow around, but won't be towing anything huge. I'd rather not have a trayback, and like SUV/wagons, but might be convinced to go for a ute if it was a clearly better value and left room in the budget for a lockable canopy.
So far I've been looking through mid-late 2000s for Pajeros, Prados, and Patrols, diesels seem to have pretty high kms, which I guess can be OK (?) but I'm honestly not too sure what to look for.
Any buying tips, models, or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
Thanks!

Home security systems
Submitted by bsir on Fri, 2020-02-21 06:29Not fishing related, but I want to change my home alarm system. I have cameras, but also a separate alarm system.
I want an alarm system that can be accessed over the internet to turn on/off and also monitor when an alarm occurs. My old one used to email me when an alarm occurred, I also don’t want to pay a subscription.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Towing
Submitted by Shepheard on Wed, 2020-02-19 18:26G'day Just like your opinion. Looking at a Dodge Ram Laramie which has a 4.5 tonne towing rating. With a 5.7 ltr petrol motor. My boat is a 7 mtr leisure cat which is 4 tonne with half a tank of fuel.I know it will pull it but will it be to heavy on the car.The tow rating is correct with the 1500 Laramie. Currently towing with an f 250 and that sags in the arse a bit with only leave springs. The dodge has coil springs.your views

Cordless Power Tools
Submitted by VaSSagO on Fri, 2020-02-14 10:10Looking at upgrading my RyobiOne gear. The hammer drill is great but the angle grinder & recip saw are weak and give me the *(%#^s. This is prompted as a I to get a cordless fan for camping but don't want to get RyobiOne because of the above (mainly the grinder).
Looking at Milwaukee or Makita. Sounds like Milwaukee might be the more powerfull grinder and a bit heavier duty but also more likely to break, need warranty.
Any tips for choosing? Will be for home handyman work.

Snapper release at Snapper Guardians 2020
Submitted by beau on Mon, 2020-02-10 09:17Here's a little video I knocked up of our day at Snapper Guardians down at Woodies on Saturday. What a great turnout, estimated at over 1000 people attending. My little young bloke Ollie released 6 buckets back into Cockburn Sound, and hasn't stopped talking about it since.
A bit ironic, but I think I'll have to get him out soon to show him what a real snapper looks like!

Sharing the joy
Submitted by Faulkner Family on Mon, 2020-02-10 05:11Just going through a few threads and noticed someone had mentioned about this site used to have heaps of pics of the catch put up all the time. Not happening too much now days
Why not share the joy. Don't matter if the fish is a monster or not , if you happy to catch it share it .
You might get a few that may bag you out if there is too many fish on the deck as they don't think there might be more than 1 or 2 on the boat. Maybe as they might be a bit jealous and can't get that sort of catch as you.
People asking questions on different subject is great but gets a bit boreing for some. We all like to catch fish so let others know what your getting. Doesn't need to have some elaborate story behind it just let people know your happy with the catch weather it be a good feed of bread and butter stuff or some monster dhuie .
SHARE THE JOY
