Submitted by Jazzyoh on Fri, 2018-08-24 10:26Hi all,
i have a watersnake slider pro remote 54lb electric with a quick release base plate. Was wondering if any other brands have lockable bases that will suit watersnake or where I could find a lockable base for the watersnake?
Cheers
best place to stay in broome. or abroad
Submitted by Faulkner Family on Thu, 2018-08-23 18:22hi all. hoping some can help. we are planning a trip up to broome next may for my 50th.
we will be tenting and will need a powered site . so where is the best place to stay. preferably central and close to the water.
also what charters are the best to go on
just weighing up all costs .
Another thing that were looking at is somewhere abroad that there is good fishing , snorkling and plenty to do other than bali or thailand (not interested in them )
cheers Russ

Rd 23
Submitted by timboon on Wed, 2018-08-22 16:35Yep I've gone early but still out of range and today was a town run.
Port to find a tiny weeny bit of form against bombers with no ruck they should win at home but will be sent packing first week of finals.
Brisbane will be licking their lips to knock off the Eagles and with the two big fellas in doubt i just can't see the girls kicking a winning score.
Hawks to beat Sydney with Bud or without...
Melbourne Gws is a coin toss, a part of me feels like Melbourne played their GF last week but I'll flip a coin and decide...
I think I'm winning the tipping at this stage but I'd like to wish anyone with a chance the best of luck, I'm still out of service this weekend but between a few waves and some fishy fingers I'll be tuning into the old ABC to listen as much as possible especially to the beloved Hawks!
I'm very happy with the new crop of players coming through and they could take a few scalps this sept hopefully.
Anyway again good luck to yas all and the teams you follow!
Boon

Second class when it comes to direct broadcasts
Submitted by carnarvonite on Sun, 2018-08-19 14:18Seems we here in WA are not as important as our eastern states cousins when it comes to direct telecasts of local team games.
Melbourne vs WCE are being show direct to Melbourne while we are having to wait until 4 pm to get our look in.
Watching it now via vast satellite with eastern states settings

Submitted by Tom M on Fri, 2018-08-17 19:00Just looking at some specials on whiskey and thinking everything is being downsized. A pint in a pub these days is rarely a pint, liquor used to be around 900 ml for us older fo.ks then 750 now i see 700. Even opened a can of Milo to find it was only half full. What other examples have people noticed?

200 series landcruiser bull bar question
Submitted by pelagicyachts on Thu, 2018-08-09 09:48hi all
Looking at getting a bull bar for my 200 series (current shape) and wanted to know if anyone has a genuine toyo steel bar and has hit anything with it?
- reason for asking is - I can get a genuine toyota steel bar very cheap (long and boring story) but had a gen toyo alloy bar (different yes yes I know) on a 100 series I had about 10 years ago - I hit a roo on the coral bay road with it which I reckon would have at best pushed the plastic bumper back and maybe broken the grill - instead the whole thing folded back over the bonnet and headlights causing a lot of damage - translated the previous bars were spot welded cr@pola
Since then I have always had ARB bars and no doubt they are up at the top of the list in terms of quality but at ~$3500 wondering if it is worth the difference for me?
cheers

An example needs to be made.

Engel fridge switching
Submitted by IncognitOh on Sun, 2018-08-05 16:07Not sure if there is a better place to post this so forgive me if its in the wtong place.
Does anyone on here fiddle around with electric switching or, know someone who does?
I have an old (~25yr) upright cabinet type 12/240v Engel fridge on the boat; about 80 litre I think.
Its a great fridge ( when working) but currently has an issue in the switching controls.
Had it looked at back a bit and the bloke rekoned new switch gear was about the 3/4 the price of a new fridge.
I dont want a new fridge, I just want my old one working again and I'm sure its not that difficult ( or expensive) to fix for someone who knows what they are doing with this type of electrics.
Am happy to pay a fair price for repairs but not that interested in almost paying the cost of a new fridge to repair my old one....if you know what I mean.
If anyone can help, please let me know.
Thanks folks

Bit of swell in Bali
Submitted by pelagicyachts on Sat, 2018-08-04 14:38Been well covered I know - over here for a few weeks to escape the winter chill and fk me some huge waves rolling through over the last week - staying in nusa dua - Uluwatu pumping too.
There were some workers doing something to this little temple in the pic - they scurried off about 20 minutes before I took this pic!

Stand up/ lean seats
Submitted by Spud72 on Thu, 2018-08-02 19:56Anybody running a stand up seat for normal applications instead of its intended purpose?
Thinking about giving it a go in my 5.2 trendsetter as I rarely want to sit and conditions don't really allow it most of the time but was looking and putting them in on oceansouth waverider pedestals or manually adjusting pedestals just for the odd occasion you can sit in calm conditions

Round 20 - Derby not Darby
Submitted by Jackfrost80 on Thu, 2018-08-02 11:59Unfortunately I think old mate Rolf will make this a scrappy, congested, low scoring game to avoid a blow out and cling onto his dwindling coaching career. I can see McLovin having an absolute field day with the Shocker’s inside entries but I don’t think ours will be too much better based on what I saw last week but having Shuey back will make a huge difference with delivery inside 50. I’d love to see Hutch go to Brayshaw for no other reason than to make sure he goes another week without a Rising Star nomination. West Coast by 30 and McLovin to take out the whatsyacallit medal.
