3 mile fish ID

Went for a bash of hillarys on monday to kill some time. fishing in 7 meters of water burley bucket over first drop 40 cm wrasse. Swaollowed the hook so cut the line and threw him over. He was flapping on the surface for all of 5 seconds when WHAM.........smashed by a massive sambo. The sambo hung around under the boat so we dropped eveything at him - he showed interest but i think his gut was full.

Moved in to shallow water after that (3 m) to catch some herring and skippy for dinner. Got smoked by something when pulling in a small herring. Had our floats chased but what ever it was it wouldnt hook up. Eventually my mate got him in but we werent 100% sure what it was. Can somoene ID it for me. At first thought was thinking tailor but once we had it in the boat i was thinking it looked more like a salmon.

El Cheapo Outfit Does the Business

A few piccies of the second sambo from Saturday (thanks Langa).

Fish was fould hooked and was one of the toughest fights I have had for a long time, backing up on the fish 3 times with the boat and the fight taking over 15 minutes. Caught on my el cheapo outfit comprising Majorcraft Crostage (at $122, best value rod going around!) and a 4 year old Daiwa Tierra 4000 (at $105, probably not the best value reel around as the handles are crap......and it has been pulled completely apart about 4 times to unsieze it and add banana peels after too much abuse on big fish)........just shows you dont need the expensive gear......that being said, I think the Stella will get a gernsey next outing.......

Exmouth Fishing

Went out fishing today on a mates boat, left the marina just after 6am for the run up to the tip of the cape. Got to the cape and put out a spread of 3 lures to try for some mackies while on the way to the fishing grounds. Had one run, but the lure was dropped, so we kept going and found some gound in around 50m of water. Sent my a halco gold twisty jig down and on the 3rd drop got a nice golden trev around 60cm. sent him back down. My fishing buddy got a hookup and pulled up his first red. He was pretty happy !

Few more drops and got a few small charlies and a couple of small snapper, sent them all back, then kept getting busted off by sharks so gave up that spot and moved on. Went searching in some deeper water and found an awesome path in 90m. Got this double hookup was pretty happy.

And got this one a few drops later.

Was a top day out, ended up with 4 fish each in the esky and phil got a nice spango on the last drop of the day. We were both pretty tired by about 2pm so headed in. Couldn't have asked for better weather all day.

Nice leasurely crusie back down to the gulf to the marina !

Cheers Joel

32m Sambos

Hey guys,

Landed some pumpers over the weekend, couple of stray dhus on the bycatch. (released promptly)

Off JBay, 32m, good hangover cure.

Chasing YTKs and Sambos off Rotto

Hi Guys,

just quick report from Saturday’s fishing. with the ban on we decided to head to rotto to see if we could catch a YTK. We anchored  up and started burleying the water and it didn’t take long for the fish to start biting, wrasse, sweep, footballers, then from out of now where one of the rods got smashed and after a long fight on 20lb gear we pulled in the biggest buff bream I have ever seen, i feel a little embarrassed posting a photo of a buff bream but I have never seen one that big. Then we started getting a few skippy around the 1kg mark, one of which I put out as a livie under a balloon.  Not long after the tide change I was drifting a small squid head down with a hand full of cut mulies and I had a strange bite and as I pulled the fish in it didn’t really fight, as it got close to the boat I could a beautiful YTK but as I saw it, he realized he was hooked and then my reel lit up and the fight was over in a few seconds. Then as we were packing up the skippy under my balloon was hit by something really really big, I pulled the rod from the holder and just hung on as whatever it was pulled drag like it wasnt there, then snap. The moral of the story is bring some heavier gear. We then headed north and found some nice ground to try some jigging for the first time. I have attached a you tube link if any wants to see our efforts.

Sambos made us work today

After a couple of cracking shallow water sambo sessions over the past few weeks, I guess we were due a slow day.......and man, was it slow! It would seem the combination of tide, moon phase and the colour of my jocks meant we had to work very hard for every hit on jig.

Me and Langa went to a few spots we had done well in the shallows, and whilst there were enough signs of sambos on the sounder to suggst we should have been hooking up, no go no matter what we did....big jigs, small jigs, fast, slow, stopped, pharrrrrrrrk. Softies did not help either. Baron was in his tug nearby and he had similar issues.

TimVB and Silly were in Sillies new rig (nice one mate!) trying another spot a bit deeper that we had also done well at previously...no go there either. I am not sure, but from the radio silence, I think they may have scored a globe for the day................

After several hours without a hit and in quite a bit of dispair, we headed out deeper and got a few fish on the sounder.....again, no action, and in desperation, I got out my favourite jig and on lighter gear to try and entice a hit as it was obvious there were sambos there from the angry red marks on the sounder.

Finally, had a hit but did not connect, but then 2 cranks later, bang, on, finally......it was about now that I started to regret going down in line size and even worse, I only had my Daiwa Tierra 4000, as I left all the good light gear at home............luckily the sambo was not too large but more than a good match for the 4000 size reel. Langa hooked up about 5 seconds after me, but his albright leader knot failed (evidenced by a bimini with the loop entact......time to learn the FG knot Matt.......).

About an hour later, I hooked up again, and after a huge fight on the Tierra and backing up on the fish 3 times, what I thought was gonna be a 20 kg plus dhu turned ou to be a fouled hooked sambo about the same size as the first......strangest fight I have ever had and a lot like a big shu. Dissapointed in some regards but given the ban, I was glad it was not a dhu as even though we release all big dhuies regardless of ban or not, some no doubt still die from the trauma of catchand release.

Anyhow, very hard day and we did a LOT of miles and a lot of jigging for 2 sambos.......makes the good days even better!

Great day, no fish.

After buying a new sounder, new jigging rod and a crapload of jigs, I was ready to hit the water and chase some sambos so I went out to the 40-50 meter mark for the first time to sound around some contours and look for spots. On the way out we saw a large amount of birds diving the water and heaps of little baitfish jumping out of the water so out came the poppers, stickbaits and divers but between trolling and casting just infront of the baitfish, we had nothing and not even anything on the sounder and it was THEN we worked out, it was a massive school of flying fish, which was awesome. We then kept on going out and sounded around for about an hour and literally nothing showed up and with only a 20L peterol tank and 3 jerry cans, we decided not to waste any more fuel and started heading back in.

THEN the sounder showed something, not exactly what we were looking for, but a pod of whales had swam near us somehow without us noticing, so off went the engine and we just sitting there crapping ourselves waiting for one to just flip the boat or something crazy, but was great to watch them play, seeing whales in the wild is a first for me. After they buggered off we decided to keep going in to avoid more whales, and I saw a nice lump in the 20-30 meter mark just near FFB which was holding a lot of activity.

Out came the jigs and I could see things chasing it up, big dark shadows but then smaller demersals were also chasing it so I decided best not to jig incase of hooking one. I cleverly told my mate who was sleeping to get off his backside and float a mulie down there, so he did. Next minute his line screams like theres absolutely no tomorrow and I could see by his rod this was no ray. As I scrambled around for the net, just as I look up, a 3-4 meter (what I think was a bronzie because of the tail but not sure) jumped about a meter in the air, about 10 meters from the boat. As we were screaming like little schoolgirls, my mate forgot that his rod only has a certain amount of line, so now somewhere there's a shark in the water with 100m of mono attatched to it's gob so if anyone catches it, please return it ;) haha.

We drifted around that spot and ended up with 1 55cm flathead which was surprising before going in to mewstone for some tailor, where we met my boss on his boat. Around there we saw a big group of dolphins playing and the biggest stingray I've ever seen that was about 3/4 the size of my 5.1m boat. Basically the night proceeded like this: loud cheering from his boat as they landed 15+ fish and 20 meters away, us falling asleep and wondering what we were doing wrong using the EXACT same rigs and bait.

As for fishermen, we failed. After 12 hours in the water we had 1 fish but I still rate it as one of the best days I've ever had.

Afternoon Tailor

Its been a Good while since I've had a decent fish

The afternoon started a lil bit slow, with fish being caught just after the sun had sunk behind the horizon, Infact I was packing up when my Old man started pulling them in.

A nice afternoon sunset too. (C)

Mandurah Trolling

This weekend, we tried finding the warmer surface water temperatures to try and target SBT's.

After heading out early morning and trolling in the 90m-110m mark, not getting any fish hooked up, headed back to the 30m contour where we had picked up some Bonito and SBT's (up to 2kg) the previous weekend. Didnt catch any SBT''s there either but we did manage to catch 7 Bonito's.

We also caught a little shark of some sort nearer to the Dawesville cut. (Not sure what shark it is....)

Has anyone tried trolling for some SBT's and caught any nearby Mandurah???

Flathead in Swan

Hi All,

Spent the day down around Point Walter to see if any flathead have turned up early for the summer season. I used a Penn Slammer 260 with 10lb braid onto 12lb mono with silver and orange switchblades on a full graphite flick stick. After a long 4 hours in the sun, must say its still a bit early, and the heavy boat traffic today made the water a little churned up.

I managed one fish around 30cm, and spooked a few other small ones at my fav spot, point walter did not produce. Good to see some fish around already, hopefully a few more weeks and a quieter morning of evening will see some flatties turning up.

Ningaloo Top Water October.

This would be our first DIY Top Water Trip to Exmouth.

Location Back Of Ningaloo Reef.

Target Species Giant Trevally.

Conditions were perfect in regards to weather glassing of most afternoons which did cause some issues with the fish going off the bite.

Coming up to the new moon and small swell also was not in our favour.

But we persisted for three days, casting stickbaits and poppers into good loooking water at the back of the reef with humback whales prolific in the area they were a very plesent distraction.

With numerous follow ups from various species of fish but no real aggression to strike did lead to some frustration and hesitant moments.

But when the tide corresponded with a large school of fusiliers and we spotted some G's riding the back of the swell it was on.

Second cast into this area created a huge surface boil twitch Boom and On Solid.

We take turns at driving and casting so once connected we go directly to the deep water to fight the fish.

This GT had other plans and even under heavy drag settings made the stella piss until the fish found its fredom rubbing me off on the nearest bommie six meters of water odds in favour of fish.

Change spool and back in action.

Cast to the same fuzie school on again this fish would make it to the boat for the pictures and release(All recorded on the Gopro).

Summery love the place will be back annually plenty to keep the whole family happy and content.

What's biting at Jurien / Greenhead

Hi guys, we are heading up to Jurien next weekend and wondering what we might be able to catch? We will be land based. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Fall fishing Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta fishing report Fall 2012

Fall is here and the fishing is heating up in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.

During the months of September through October we have some of the best fishing in the world.

In the month of October 15 the rains stop and the fishing really heats up. The water temp will still be holding around 80 deg for a few more months before it’s starts to go down slightly. During there months we catch in the bay bonita, yellowtail, tuna, mahi mahi and even sailfish. This is because the water temperature reaches about 80 deg. The offshore fishing is some of the best in the world. The huge tuna are here along with sailfish, marlin, wahoo and mahi mahi.

For those who are serious about catching the big one such as marlin and tuna Fall is one of the best times to be fishing the outside of the bay. With the water temperature around 80 deg. There are schools of bonitos everywhere and the marlin and tuna follow them here to Puerto Vallarta. Just out past the Maritas,Corbetena and El Banco are just a few of the places we fish for the big ones. Plan on a 10 to 12 hr day for the marlin and tuna trips. As you can see summer time fishing in Puerto Vallarta can not be beat so come on down and wet and line and have a cold one.

Two up coming tournaments Nov. 2-3 for mahi mahi. And out international tournament for marlin, tuna, sailfish and mahi mahi coming up Nov. 7 - 10 over 2 million on prizes and money

Tight lines

Daz in action

Daz in action on Saturday - the hit, the tug of war and the result. Great fun in around 40m, though losing 2 x shout slide actors and an FCL Labo wasn't exactly what I had planned.

South west trout

Headed down south for the weekend to chase trout. Caught a few and seen a lot of good fish. Got a nice wild rainbow from the rapids which was good fun. Throw in a heap of reddies and once again more close encounters with multiple snakes and it was an eventful weekend. Oh and two people I was fishing with ended up with hooks in them, it was just one of those trips!

Sunday Morning Rotto Bash

Hey Guys this is my first full report so here go's,

After a 6:15am start we headed down to the ramp (CPBA).After spotting numerouse crabs in the water under the jetties we headed out and started our trip towards rotto and averaging 28 knts we were there within 30 minutes. Because of the demersal ban we were in the hunt for skippy. After some sounding around in 17 metres which appeared to be holding bait, i dropped the jig down, unfortunately i didnt get a strike so we decided to set anchor on  reef that we knew would hold skippy and hopefully some big sambos   . As soon as we set anchor we saw the tell tale sign of a big whale with a waterfall like blast of air and water, The whale was heading straight for the boat and we were concerned the beast was going to go straight through us lol. However as soon as the big boy noticed the boat he dived down and we never saw him again after that.Dad and I resulted to "ah well back to fishing." First few drops resulted in nothing but then as soon as the burley bucket went over the side the skippy started nailing the our baits left right and centre, after some fun catching skippy on the light gear they completely shut down with the baits coming up untouched (thats skippy for ya')

With the bite not improving we decided to sound around again when the boat stopped, Dad checked the motor and couldent see anything obviouse that was wrong. We were starting to toss up whether to get toed home now when dad makes an annoyed sigh "the kill switch key has come off" sure enough we plugged it back in and the honda 115 started like a beauty and we were back to fishing,THANK GOD.

We new of another spot only not far from the first where we decided to try for some king george because in the past some real kidney slappers have been caught there. As dad was sorting out the burley bucket i decided to drop my line over and lucky i did because not long after the bait hit the bottom i had hooked a nice KGW after a short tussle on the light gear up came a nice 43cm specimen so i was stoked. Dad soon stopped what he was doing and dropped his rod over, as soon as his bait hit the bottom he was on and thinking it was a big skippy by the way it fought we were both suprised to see a stoinker 49cm KGW hit the surface into the esky he went 2 king george in 5 minutes wasnt bad and we thought we had hit a patch but unfortunately it was just the pair. The bite slowed and I still hadnt christened my new combo ( Daiwa emcast sport 6000 matched to an ugly stick platinum 8 - 15kg) So i threw out a whole snelled mulie and within 40 seconds of the bait hitting the water i was on big time with the first run being massive, this fish took me all around the boat and at one point i thought i was going to lose him to the anchor rope. I got the fish up and it was in the net, almost!  Dad had to grab the tail because it wouldnt fit in the net completely and he lifted it into the boat ( gee those things fight hard in the shallows). A new PB sambo and it was extra special because it was the first fish on the new combo. after a few snapps it was time for release, the fish probably didnt need it b ut i swum him for a little while just to be sure he survived but after a few kicks of his tail he swam away strong. This sambo measured pretty well smack bang on the metre mark i didnt want to weigh him as his survival was the number one priority. We decided to wrap it up because we were happy with the days catch and from 17m made it even better. on the way home to top off the day we saw 2 more whales, a mother, and her calf near the shipping channel.

All in all it was a great day and it should get me through school this week until i can get back out on the water.

Cheers,

snapper_seeker

48cm Swan Tailor

Gday guys,

I went out for a tailor bash with Ben and Chad yesterday, It was quite a slow day from 11ish-3ish we did not get a touch and had a brief fish for flatties with bait.  Bens gf is pregnant and was actually due yesterday so he skivved off for a few hours fishing but had to be back early.  So on the way taking Ben back to his car we finally got a hit and lost the first tailor by the side of the boat.  After we dropped Ben off we were soon headed back to the spot where we had hooked up near the green marker on Pt Walter.  From there on it was about one and a half hours of tailor madness where we caught 6 and dropped a couple before they went off the bite.  One of the tailor just took line off like no tomorrow with Chaddy telling me to tighten up my drag which I did a few times, but I knew that this was no loose drag, it was a stonking tailor.  After a good 5-7 mins fighting the tailor as it took run after run I finally boated the beast and to our surprise it turned out to be 48cms.  A new PB!

Dunsborough morning out

Went out this morning in search of tailor on fly around some of the wash zones locally.  The wind whipped across the bay and made a short sharp horrible little swell and I left the flyrod in the locker and stayed at the helm while we were close to the rocks and a mate pounded the area with a bibbed minnow for a while.  The wind slowly tried to ease but was way too hard to flycast in and with the tailor not playing the game we changed tactics a bit and headed out towards the cape to try and jig up a YTK or samsonfish.  No joy there either.  So we went back in shallow and hit up the skippy.  Good old faithful tan and yellow over white clouser scored a couple of fish after the wind dissapeared, while my mate was getting desperate and ended up taking a treble hook off a jerkbait and laced it with pilchard pieces from the berley bucket that we were using to crank the trevs up.  Fundamental rule of my boat broken and no shame left he scored a couple of rat fish before we took the boat out and headed for a local brewery for a wood fired pizza and a few brews for a late lunch.  At one stage I had a little trev on and a sambo I estimate around a meter long came in for the kill- all in crystal clear water.  I did try my best to catch it with everything in the flybox but it only wanted the trevs when they were hooked up under the boat.

One thing we did see lots of though were whales.  Probably 30-40 of the buggers while moving around.  Made the missus jealous.

So tailor will have to wait for another day but glad to put the skippy notch on the 7wt.

More Shallow Sambo Madness

After last weeks shallow sambo sesh which left me and Tim shaking at the knees, Daz was keen to get in the action so the three of us set off from Hillarys this morning.

After a quick try for a KG in the shallows waiting for the easterlies to die down (fail) we headed off to the same 35 m spot as last week. After 3 drifts, not much action on the sounder and no hits......dam!

Moved about 2 km to my other shallow sambo spot in 38m that me and Chrisp had done well on last year, and bingo, the sounder lit up, although the sambos were sitting close to the bottom. The drag on all 3 Stella 8000PG's were done up nice and tight, no stuffing about this time, gimble belts were mandatory.......drop down, and it was non stop action for the next few hours, with about 14 sambos boated between us and many other lost due to a combination of being bricked, straightned split rings and snapped leaders due to the excessive drag we had to run to stop these critters in the shallow.

All fish were good size for shallow water, average size was like this one of Tim's.

A few were bigger, Daz landed the biggest.

I only got snaps on my iphone of these two fish, I was too busy catching fish.........Tim has some better shots on his speccy camera he took out, I am sure he will post a few up.

After we had enough and the arms were sore, we moved back to the first spot in 35m to check it out, and straight away the sounder lit up and it was on again!!!!!!

Tripple hookup had us all squeeling like school girls, but it ended badly for the other two boys, both being bricked...hahaha. Tim lost a total of 4 very expensive jigs, Daz 2, me 1..........the boys did a lot of re rigging.....

Great to finally have a couple of reliable shallow sambo spots. Had another cracking day, the back is feeling it now!

Cheers

John

Tailorrific time!

Went for a troll this morning with the young bloke and had one of my best tailor sessions, double hook ups constantly with fish at 45 to 50 cm, great fun and only 2 min from launch ramp. So good that Brock can grab the rod out of the holder and fight it unassisted, lets me enjoy my fish on, Brock claimed the biggest at bang on 50cm, I think the little bugger boated more than me too. The metro area seems to be full of them atm.

Tailor in the Swan

Hi There,

Went fishing this afternoon in the Swan. Launched the tinny at Mosmans and went trolling with Halco twisties 10g (the ones with the red colouring on the sticker), just on dusk they started biting, and got 3 in about an hour and a half - great fun! They were 36, 41 and 38cm.

The weather was great as well.

2012-10-18-Out From Albany

FINALLY!

With trying to run two jobs (thankfully I'm now running my own business only) we hadn't had "Dreamweaver" out since July last year! I know, bloody disgraceful!

After our return from Coral Bay (to attend one of our daughters wedding) and two fishing experiences under our belt and with some time to spare, we broke the Dreamweaver boat fishing drought.

With all the signs looking good we rose at a liesurely 05:30 and were in the water, out from the Albany town jetty at around 07:30.

Despite the forcast, the NNW wind gusts made conditions a bit choppy, so we settled for a drift out near the islands.

We were onto bights straight away, but the majority of bring ups were undersized, Breaksea, Squire Snapper and Swallow Tail mainly.

Breaksea Cod, we find are one of the most Baratrauma prone fish, so thank goodness I'd brought our release weight.

I did mange to pull in one half decent pan sized skip:

With most catches undersized, our bait being pecked to death and the wind having moderated considerably, we decided to move further afield to a spot out from Rock Dunder.

It proved worthwhile.

Sandra's first effort was VERY impressive, "I'M SERIOUSLY ON", she yelled as her rod buckled furiously, and the Torium 30 OH screamed in protest.

"TURN IT" I yelled, "I"M TRYING" she yelled back...and "YOU TRY". I grabbed the rod from her hands and locked up the 30 to as much as I could - I might as well had it in free spool!

Sandra "under load":

The braid was heading for Antartica, but, whatever piscatorial beast was on the end of it was coming to the surface, so we'd at least find out what it was.

Moving out from the boat and rising? Hmmm, a large ray or BIG Sambo was my call...

The beast surfaced...a bloody whale! Seriously!

OK, Sandra wins the biggest hook up.

A Cow and calf that hung around the boat, even after Sandra "caught" the Cow:

One hour later, and numerous drifts producing skippy, a black rock fish and an Albatros (Sandra's effort again), the top of my T-Curve 400 shot downwards as one of two Gamakatsu 5/0 Circles had done their work.

Whatever iit was, it wasn't going to go easy as we played "line ownership" during several serious runs. After what I imagined to be about ten minutes, the culprit finally started coming up consistantly.

A further 10-15 minutes and I had the fish to the surface - a good sized Blue Morwong (Southern Queenie) - measure at just under one meter and 7 kilos. That 65 meters of depth had felt like 165 meters:

We were back at the town jetty at our designated 1400 hours, logged off VMR610 (Albany Sea Rescue) and pleased with a good feed, great fun (especially due to Sandra's "unusual catches") and happy that we had finally broken the drought.

NLB FISHING up north

Cape Naturaliste Report 16/10/2012

With the Demersal fish Closure upon us, its a great time to clean and service gear, repair boats, research and invest in new gear, etc etc, until the new season begins. The last 7 days leading into the closure were a fishermans worst nightmare, with wind and swell conditions less than favourable, leaving the diehards to fish inshore, more protected areas. Amongst the mixed bags included Herring, skippy, Whiting, Tailor, Pinkies, Mako Sharks, and the odd Dhuie. Crabs and squid were also in good numbers back towards Busso. A couple of boats got out to some deeper ground, with the young fellas on the boat landing a 12kg Dhu, a nice size Sambo and a solid Mako which was released.

Tailor have been prolific and good size, with all wash zones and points around the cape proving to be hotspots. I was lucky enough to get into some great Tailor action, with an endless number of 40+cm fish smashing everything we threw at them!! Downsize your lures, and fish the same areas for herring and silver trevally, with Tarwhine also hitting lures. Squid and crabs have been more productive around Siesta Park, Tobys Inlet area. There have been plenty of female crabs around, but very few carrying eggs, but do be careful when keeping females as they are the future of the fishery.

Landbased fishing has been great, with plenty of action on both sides of the cape. Bigger tailor specimens of around 60cm have been fairly consistent on the west coast, with Yallingup, Smiths and Injidup all worthy of a cast. Still a few Salmon being landed from the beaches, most likely resident fish, which we see hide out around the coast until the season comes around. As the temperatures have dropped slightly since the warm patch through July/August, the Sandwhiting have dropped off a little, however still worth your while flicking fresh prawns, or Gulp Sandworms on the flats in Dunsborough.

Until the Demersal closure ends, why not try your luck at some Jigging and trolling in the area, and test your gear against powerhouse Sambos, and drag burning Kingys. Drop in the shop, or hit us up on Facebook, and we can point you in the right direction, and show you whats working!!

Until next time, happy cleaning, happy dreaming, and good luck fishing!!!

Cheers,

Dhu-rien Bay Friday

Shot up on Thursday night and swagged overnight in Jurien for a Friday session onboard Seasport.

The weather was looking pretty good and was the pick of the days of the previous week.  We got off on time and shot straight out for some livebait but the fish weren't schooling so Whitey didn't have us hanging around there too long.  We spent the rest of the day fishing between 25-55m from what I saw.

I was jigging up on the bow with Whitey and one other bloke, Brendan.  We didn't do too bad - I ended up with three dhus, two of which were legal but were caught after the boat limit had been reached so they went back (which probably worked well for me anyway because I ended up with one of Whitey's fish), the other one was undersize.  Also got a good size baldie.  Brendan got a double header of sambos on his twin assists which gave him some curry, a small amber, a donkey sambo and a few small junk fish.  The fish of the day went to Whitey though with his first dhu hitting the scales at 16kg and his second at 18kg was an absolute cracker and nearly spooled him (light drag due to small hooks).

As far as the baitos went - there were a good mix of fish that came up - a couple of quality dhus, some nice pinkies and then the usual mix of baldies, black bum, skippy and sambos.

Was a good day out all up despite the weather kicking up at the end of the day.

There are a few pics below, they're pretty light on as we were up on the bow which made taking them difficult.

Off to a good start - flat seas and light winds
