did something different today....fished a weekend and out of ocean reef,
Submitted by terboz123 on Sat, 2018-01-13 16:24least to say, while we bagged out
there is a certain boat, with a marone hull, (yes i have your rejo) that un three different drifts , on 3 different marks, you came and sat right on top of us. even after the abuse and finger pulling......... but dw, im sure you caught nothing on thm as every mark we hooked on, would shut down instantly after the first fish was landed , wierd day on the water or we were one step ahead of you and doing blind driftrs, to have you fishing barron desert.
clearly you cant catch shit, nor read sounders or have any idea how to catch fish on your own. i got no idea if you read this forum but if you do, just be aware it was noticed a by a cpl other boats in the same general area, when returning to the boat ramp they came up ad had a yarn about it.
I am sorry FW for this rant, but vlearly quite frustrated about this,

Also if anyone has had good timez with this or any other apps fishing related I'd be interested in hearing. Cheers !

I will be heading up to Gnaraloo station for the first time with a few mates in May and was hoping some of you might have some tips or pointers for targeting some good fishing up there. I will be towing up my 6m Shark Cat and would love to get onto some gamefish if possible.
I am quite new to boating in WA so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Submitted by mc on Fri, 2018-01-12 19:06Anyone running with this setup? Looking at upgrading my electronics, just confused by some info on furuno website, from what I understand you need a matching box to connect a 1kw tranny?? Extra $500 for a matching box, just want to know if it’s need for this setup or will the airmar tm260 for furuno plug in without needing this matching box??

price of things
Submitted by keg on Thu, 2018-01-11 19:31i went to my local nut and bolt supplier and bought a heap of unf bolts for an old car i`m restoring
and while i was there i asked about some 12g x 1 1/2" long stainless screws i needed for the boat
and they had them. 27c each so i bought a box. went to buy some spare bungs at my local boat
parts shop and thought i`d have a look at their stainless section and the same screws were $1.50 each,
pays to shop around.

Jurien advice
Submitted by Bradmac73 on Wed, 2018-01-10 16:36Heading to Jurien in a few weeks and after any advice from those who have experience fishing there. Specifically, is your preference to drift or drop the pick when bait fishing? In general I drift when jigging or using plastics, but anchor and berley for soaking baits. Never fished Jurien (apart for skippy from the jetty as a kid) and wondering if there is any reason to change my methods

Canal Rocks Boat Ramp needs your help!!
Submitted by Habanero on Tue, 2018-01-09 08:45The Canal Rocks Action Group has organized a rally to show support to keep the boat ramp open , despite being shown that the report that the Minister has got his information from , is flawed , the government is still trying to push ahead with closing this Ramp.
Canal Rocks Ramp has been operating for 70 years with ought any major accident ( an ambulance has never been called for an accident on the ramp!), the government wishes to close the ramp due to safety concerns , if this can happen to Canal Rocks it could happen to MOST OPEN WATER RAMPS IN OUR STATE!
Canal Rocks Ramp is the only ramp in the Area servicing our small coastal community , the closure of this ramp will see the old Dunsborough ramp , Quindalup and Gracetown have to cater for the increase , all extremely busy ramps already.
The Naturaliste Volunteer Marine Rescue appose this closure as will add hour(s) to a rescue on this side of the Cape.
The Rally is happening at 3pm this Saturday (13th), Shuttle bus and parking has been organized along Canal Rocks Road , as well as our local football club putting on a sausage sizzle , there will be guest speakers including Taj Burrows and Jake Patterson .
If you Care please make the effort and be there!

Mandurah - Leaving Boat in water
Submitted by selthy on Mon, 2018-01-08 20:39I'm soon heading to Mandurah and will be leaving the 6.15m ali boat in the water for about 5 nights. Will be doing a mix of fishing, crabbing and family cruises. My folks are ex locals and have a few good spots ready to hit up.
Anyone have any tips, particlarly in regards to leaving the boat in the water.
I'm also unsure as to the availability of trailer parking at the accomodation, if there is none available, does anyone know anywhere safe to leave it for a few nights?
