Just wondering what everyone's brand of choice is when it comes to braid, and different for different types of fishing, as in 20lb casting to 80lb bb..

 Hi guys, i recently have found a few spots with some thumping black bream in the river and i have tried using bait but i cant even get a bait to the bottom because it gets enialated by blowies. I was wondering if any of you experienced blokes knew of a lure or a metal or just anything i could use to try and get one of these blackies without using bait.

I am hoping to head out to south west bank early Saturday morning (weather permitting) , I have never been there before but have worked out the info for my gps from a map, its looks to be 40 to 45k out from point perron , I would realy like another boat to tag along for safety is any one out there keen to go if yes give me a ring me on 0418935456

me and the girlfreind are goin for a allnight fish this saturday night just wandering everyones opinion on where we should go about 1 hour eitherside of perth city, ocean based would be preffered we just wanna catch a feed for in the mornin somthing bigger would be great but any help would be much appreciated

 Ok, after a week of holidays, I have come back in dreaming mode and have been looking at boats it for the first time in my life, I don't know what boat I want.

Guidelines are as follows:

Trailerable and beach launchable 

around 6-7m

Forward V berth for overnighters

suitable for diving and fishing.

Now personally, I am a fan of Aluminium boats weight wise, and was thinking of something like the mass produced pressed hulls rather than the plate boats simply due to the weight thing again?

Surely you lot could tell me what I want?

hey all think its time i get a sounder for my tinnie ! as i know nothing about em wouldnt mind some suggestions to what i should get ! will basically use it in sound for snapper, river for mulloway etc i dont mind if its a gps and sounder together or  just a sounder im not too bothered my budget is around $1000 dollars new or second hand any advice in general towards what i should look for would be apprechiated

 will anyone else be boat fishing at steep point / shelter bay between 9 june snd 15 june???  i will have my boat there but havent be able to find a second boat for additional safety / support.  i hsve 27 mg boat radio and 27 mg home base radio, plus a vhf handheld.  would appreciate if anyone else is there to be in contact out on the water.  ch 11 vhf or ch 96 (???) on 27 mg.  

we will be at wellard west camp at the far end of the bay. cime and say hello.

 hey guys i went out on a boat not to long ago for the first time, i copped seasickness really badly even though i had taken 2 quills are there any other ways to deal with it i have heard of an earplug in one ear to balance you out and also this herbs thing that you suck on? are there any other ways to deal with it just so i can be prepared for when i go back out again!

I am looking for a Perth deep sea fishing charter company to buy a gift voucher for a friend. I think I have narrowed it down to 2 - Salt Water or Apache.

I am not really sure what makes a good charter company so I am hoping you guys can give me some advice and recommendations?

Is it better to go during the week when there are less people for example? A friend said less people is better because of the catch limits.

Ive always used seabreeze.com for scuba diving and boating condition forecasts. Recently i was told willyweather is more accurate by some guy i was chatting with at a barbie over summer. Since comparing the two there seems to be quite a wide variation between the two at times. For instance this weekend seabreeze says 12-15kn winds with no rain sunday while willyweather says around half that on sunday with some rain. Other times willyweather says much stronger winds than seabreeze. Which do you guys find the mmost accurate?  personally I still favour seabreeze or are there other better sites available that im not aware of

Am looking at a few different boats and  trying to find out wich one will suit my needs the best. The twinfisher 4.9 is one of those but I can't seem to find one in the state, not up for sale anyway. Was wondering if anyone here has one or knows someone who has one so I can at least lay my eyes on one.

Hey fellas, im heading down to Waroona/Dwellingup this weekend with a bunch of mates and was hoping to head to the coast for the day to catch some fish for dinner and show a bunch of mates why i love fishing.

I have a couple of beach rods as well as some lighter gear and was hoping i could get some advice on spots  from some local fishos or anyone knows the area.

I hate blowies but are they really a feral species as some one has said like carp , I can remember back in 1970,71 and 72 the whole of the swan and coast was infested with them I personally believe that is about when the swan river prawns disappeared ( you did a drag and all you got was bowies and jelly fish) , I vaguely remember an article in the west Australian written by a marine biologist at the time saying that the blowies were developing a deformed tail, I remember going for a dive on the south mole around the same time with my uncle when we jumped in all we could see was millions and millions of blowies heading out to sea and the next thing the swan river and coast was prity close free of blowies for decades I know people wont believe me but it is a true story

Seen lots coming and going late at night and can see where they're getting on but just wondered if access was legit or not. I have got a broken foot and wanna fish off the end of the wall there and wondered if I could get the ute down there??

looking to add a deck wash down pump to the boat....(well in the processs of doing it up over winter after a big coral bay trip adding and repairing a lot of stuff on it!)...yeah it was a good trip :)

was wondering what sort of LPM / pressure I need and to get a reasonable clean.  if any boat owners out there can give me any info even if it's what you have and whether it is adequate or not ....would be much appreciated.

 Hey, I was fishing the western side of the three mile reef out from ocean reef Perth today, I had what I believe to be a shark take the bait and cleanly slice through my 40 pound leader and on both hooks.  Next time I head out I'll take the wire traces.  I'm after everybody's opinion.  Do you think it was a shark or could have it been something else? If it is shark, is it worth keeping for take afew fillets off?

Am heading over to Cairns next week for a livaboard trip to do a bit of diving.

After the diving finishes up I'll have a few days to spare around Cairns, and was wondering if anyone could help out with some locations to try chucking a few lures around.

It might be that it isnt worth taking a rod tube all the way over there for a bit of shroe fishing (in which case I won't bother) but if anyone has had success and able to give a few pointers that would be great!
