not fishing related but we are moving back to Perth from up north in a month

we have a good dog meat place in town here bloke shoots Roos and the dogs love it

my question is, does anyone know of a decent dog meat place in Perth anywhere

i don't care where I'm happy to travel

years ago me and a few mates used to hammer the reefs at onslow free diving , it was so easy deepest you had to dive was 15 meters , worst thing we did was clean our catch on the way home chuck all the carcasses off the boat then jump back in after 15 minutes and pick of a few coral trout that had come around for a free feed I must admit years later I feel a bit bad about that , and no way would I ever spear a dopey old blue groper

 I'm heading over to melbourne sunday for a week I'll be staying in ringwood just wondering if theres any tackle shops or somewear to fish round there I probaly wont have time for a fish my self but would be happy to watch people fish and wind down grandad pretty crook so would be nice to be by the water for the arvo

there is a pot in the water behind the sisters that has obviously been in since last season , I suspect its 1 of mine from last season that I lost rope and floats are covered in growth , thinking I should pull it but don't want to get in the poo it realy is in the way where every 1 is poting should I pull it might put a call into fisherys

 recently purchased a bait board from stoinka through the 4 sale section. cheers again bud 

was going to pass after i found out he was in bunbury and i wasnt keen on the drive but thanks to a mate chrisG who messaged me after noticing i had queried stoinka, he let me no he was heading down south and was happy to pick it up for me if i was to buy it.

after a few phone calls the worlds aligned and bait board arrived.

next was to get it welded and thanks to razorline for finding the time in there crazy busy schedule to weld it up. (some nice bloody boats at the shop )

few bucks on cleaning and prep of surface a can of paint and done.

will add some storage under the board later on, just happy i can put a rod in there and not worry about a bit of plastic breaking and loosing rod and reel.

after a certain member of this site gave a spot for snapper I checked it out on the way home from checking the pots we caught heaps of baby smapper (all released) so the demersal ban looks like its working fish are spawning and to me looks like my young bloke might be able to catch a fish in the future

 I just got a GoPro hero 4 to start takimg some footage on the boat when were out fishing. Wondering what would be the best way to mount it out there and any accessories I need or should get?

And also the best / easiest video editing software for someone completely new to it? 

We will be running drop lines off Gero so hopefully I get some good footage... So far playing around with the camera im not very impressed with the quality, but maybe that all changes with editing.

but I'm tossing up whether to get the intensitys

next week will be 6 weeks since it started , the whole job was supposed to take 6 weeks and they haven't finished the right hand side , as usual rocky council has let it get out of control , lots and lots of people that use that ramp are getting more and more pissed of , every time you go down there slack arse work force are sitting in the sea container having a brew up and have their ute parked in the disabled parking spot , not realy their fault I suppose if our local council is letting them get away with it no wonder out rates went up wopping 7&

I am looking to part cash and pick up a generator. My brothers both have Honda generators and have never had a problem with them (only used once or twice a year so I should expect not).

I am looking for something between 1000kva and 2500kva, as a backup to my solar panels when I go camping. Running at most, two 50l fridges.

I am very much a bang for buck kinda guy and keep getting drawn to the $600 no name ones at Bunnings and similar and are more inclined to buy two of them as opposed to one Honda/Yammy though would like some feedback on no name generators.

Who has one (other than Honda or Yammy) and what is it like?

I have a Hyundai 1200kva which has never been used in anger though it is an industrial one and I need something more compact to fit in my camper.

 ok this one has me baffled so can anyone give me any insight?  have a customer wanting a quote and has specified a ( VHR ) radio. have asked are you sure do you mean VHF? is adiment its VHR, have never heard of these , so anyone know any help would be great

although not not fishing related I thought I would ask the advice of the fellow fishwrecked community about CPAP machines. Just recently finished a trial of a cpap device and I was amazed at the difference in how you feel after sleeping with one for a few months and then going without (like a good woman I suppose. Hahah)

has as anyone else trialled, bought a machine recently?  If so any feedback on brands or even how they go with it in general. Lastly do Medicare or your private health insurer offer any form of rebate?

anybody need a hand to pull pots tomorrow ive done a seal in my boat it won't be ready till tue arvo I have two pots to check and bait up behind garden island they been out all week keen to check them.

There has been an email sent out to all the Volunteer Sea Rescue groups informing us of the intention of not advertising the coverage coverage of 27meg radios in their information for listeners. This is the start of getting all boaters to gradually turn to VHS radios. This at the moment is mainly in the metro area as most far northern and southern groups have only a few visiting vessels logging on with 27 meg

Here in Carnarvon we would be lucky to get 4-5 a year with the exception of Carnarfin fishing competition where there is a coupe of regulars from down south who refuse to take the hint that it is for their safety not to spend a few dollars, after all when they spend thousands on travel up here, accommodation , entry fees , bait and fuel and piss.

So when buying a new radio as a replacement or fitting out a boat for the first time please consider going the extra bit and putting a VHF in
