Fishwrecked Footy Tipping Comp 2019
Submitted by Brock O on Fri, 2019-02-15 14:26Hopefully we can gather a few punters for a Tipping comp again this year...$50 enter, last years guys should have a message from ESPN come through.
Flick me a msg for bank account details...same as last year though. Plenty of time to raise the funds, if not a couple payments is OK for those doing it tough or joining multiple comps.
Margin will decide if a draw occurs between 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
http://www.footytips.com.au/comps/Fishwreckers ...Hopefully its sorted.
Password Fishwrecked if required.
Enjoy!!

Underfloor Esky Cold Storage Ally Boat
Submitted by Wedge Warrior on Thu, 2019-02-14 18:52Hey Team
ive got some space underfloor in my ally boat (approx 1500x500)
i want to make it into cold storage (underfloor esky) for my catch & have been doing some research into how to fabricate and what to insulate with?
ive seen some people saying you only need to insulate the lid or use air cell or polystyrene?
anyone done one of these before or know any tips/tricks

German Shepherd needs new home
Submitted by Ben85 on Wed, 2019-02-13 10:49Unfortunately we’ve had to make the decision to re-home our German Shepherd due to personal circumstances.
I thought this might be a good place to put out some feelers as most people on here will be like minded, outdoors types and we want to guarantee her a good future. She is 5 years old, female, long coat sable GSD, pure bread with all the papers and vaccinations up to date. Comes from a very good blood line and never had any health issues. We’ve had her since she was a pup, she’s a great family dog and has been fantastic with our kids who are 3 years old. She loves the water and other dogs (can get a bit over playful at times) and just being around people.
The negatives, she is a long coat GS, so make no mistake, she does drop a bit of hair and needs a good brush occasionally to keep her under control. Also, she’s not the most well trained on the lead, could do with some training. She’s also takes a big liking to fish and crays in particular, so you’d want to keep an eye on her when cleaning them in the backyard.
Her name is ‘Mahi’, drop me a message if you think you could provide her a good home and a good life. I’m located in Mullaloo.
thanks/Ben

Diving Near Miss
Submitted by Swompa on Mon, 2019-02-11 12:08Well it was the closest I had to a major f*ckup when diving on the weekend and thank sweet baby jesus that we dive shallow.
The mouth piece came off my regulator in 2.5-3m of water. The cable tie must have popped off at some point so I have my head in a hole on the bottom, turn my head to the left and all of a sudden my mouth and throat is full of water.
Instant reaction was to head for the surface rapidly and when I hit the surface, cough up a heap of water and take a much needed breath.
Funny that when your mouth is held open and when you are only expecting air, your belly can cop a lot of water coming at it with force. Lucky none in the lungs.
So a heads up to any bubble blowers, check your mouth piece is well secured to the regulator.
Thankfully we hadn't gone into any caves just yet though if I was in a cave I would have been in the shit.
We ended up 21 crays snared with only three size. 0 out of 3 in the pots.

Couple of pbs
Submitted by Faulkner Family on Sun, 2019-02-10 16:57With the weather forecast supposedly going to be ok we got out as the sun came up. As it turned out it certainly wasnt that crash hot.
However we did have a good day even tho not too many fish came aboard. Few small ones went back and a couple dropped on the way up . Nick (bro in law) managed his pb dhuie that went a bit over 8kg. And i got a pb blackass , not huge compared to some that have showed up but at 450 im not complaining.
Ended up with 4 tuna and one of which was a great size and faught well

Submitted by Faulkner Family on Sat, 2019-02-02 17:53Just heard about a lady went missing last night down near geron point. Her body was found today.
Not good to hear about it at all . With the realy high tide last night and the wind would have made it hard walking around. News report said her husband was out looking for her when authorities showed up.
Feel sorry for the loss while doing something that should be an enjoyable outing

Reel Spare Parts
Submitted by bsir on Sat, 2019-02-02 16:43Ive recently servied a few reels and have a couple of parts I need (like the tiny spring that proved it was still working as it left the reel on its way to gods knows where)
Normally i just get then sent to me from Shimano, and will probably do the same again, but wondering if there are any decent spare parts places in perth to save some money on postage (which is normally $9 for $2-3 worth of parts).
Thanks

Submitted by Iceman on Thu, 2019-01-31 12:57The decision has been made that the Abalone fishing will go ahead this weekend.
Given the forecast I find this absurd but as the press release states it is up to the indivual whether they enter the water.
Whitdfords Sea Rescue will have 2 vessels patrolling area from Trigg to MAAC and Burn Beach to Ocean Reef Marina. Surf LIfe Saving personel will all ve on patrol.
Stay safe and remember a feed is not worth risking your life for.

Cattle deaths Pilbara Station
Submitted by timboon on Wed, 2019-01-30 21:39This is a total political fuck up!
You watch the C@#ts run for Cover n hide this because the blackfellas are involved!!!
You have sheep die on a live export ship and the whole trade is shut down, where are the gutless C@#ts now?
You give people that don't have the want/desire nor the ability to try and run country like this and this is what happens.
The fucking greens and Alana Mcteirnan will skirt around this issue because black fellas are involved.
This country is becoming a joke, this needs to be called out and they need to have property most would dream of running taken off them as this is the second time in a month such cruelty and neglect has lead to the death of over a thousand head of cattle because indigenous people running these stations are not capable of doing so.
Fucking hopeless cruel c@#ts!!!
If I was one of the hundreds of passionate responsible pastoralists from up that way I'd want politicians and all responsible swinging from the trees by the necks up there!
After a thousand head at Noonkanbah perished or were destroyed it's sounding likely this latest fuck up could well equal or exceed that....
Those responsible should be left in the Pilbara heat tied to a stake until Fremantle win a flag.
Fuck em

Boat / caravan etc storage available NOR - Gibbs Rd Nowergup
Submitted by beeroclock on Wed, 2019-01-30 14:03Gday all if your looking to keep your boat or caravan somewhere at a good price this may help. Its a private property with a large locking gate. You come and go with your boat as you please (dont have to notify owner everytime) as the key is kept in a combination lock box at the gate. The boat/trailer parking area is open (no cover) on flat crushed limestone so you need a good boat cover. I kept my boat there for 3+ years and never had any problems with the owner I just dont need to store my boat anymore so I am posting this as a favour to the owner of the property and maybe help out a fellow fish wreckeder. PM me for the owners name and phone number. cheers Dave
Feedback Seabreeze marine Wangarra
Submitted by sea-kem on Tue, 2019-01-29 19:14So I've been having issues with my DF90 and had a mobile mech look at it a couple of times. Overheating was the main issue and I think still is the issue as I'm beginning to smell something that smells like over heated rubber. She won't idle in nuetral which is a worry. Anyway the mech reckons could be a blockage but has suggested taking it to Sebreeze marine in Wangarra as they are a Suzuki dealer.
I just want some honest feedback and anyone's experience with these guys, but don't want this to degenerate into a negative thread, cheers.

New Karratha alcohol rules
Submitted by Doc on Tue, 2019-01-29 16:43swung by Karratha this morning to get some shopping done and went to BWS to stock up on some beers, gee we had to jump through hoops. Once we told them we were tourists it got easier, but I still had to fill out forms, which then I might add, were forwarded onto the police. Actually made me feel bad about buying a couple of cartons of VB.

MKR another fishwrecker
Submitted by Mitch88 on Tue, 2019-01-29 02:27Unfortanetly I forgot username and password when I first joined in 2006 when there was approx 40 members so had to start another user name.
For those around back that far in the days where Colin hay, Andy mac, Mako magic, spoon, dreamweaver were big contributors to the forum would notice the current MKR contestant from Perth, Blake Proud.
If my memory serves me right he had a old school fibreglass boat that was his old man's, old penguin possibly he put alot of time into. Haven't seen him on the forum for years.
Adam may recall his username.
