Perth
Submitted by Doc on Wed, 2018-10-24 17:05Had an opportunity to get the cruiser out of the trailer and head into Perth today, needed to get a wedding present for the niece, gee it’s sure changed, we only got as far as the big place in Cannington, carousel or something. Had a pretty awesome feed there and must have walked a few miles. Took us a couple of hours there and back, we are currently based at a ripper place just to the east of York called Greenhills, the tavern there allows you to free camp if you spend at the tavern, and why not, great beer, great food. It’s one place we’ll get back to sometime in the future.

Point Grey
Submitted by IncognitOh on Sun, 2018-10-21 15:48Not sure if this has been directly discussed on here before, I'm sure it probably has but I cannot seem to search for it. Whilst I'm no expert on the estuaries and, have no idea what the estuary systems were like 30-40-50 or, 100 years ago, I do live on them ( been down this way 20 odd years) and love them and am interested to hear peoples opinions about why they think the Point Grey development will be a bad thing. Now before you dust off your soap boxes, climb on them and start hollering from a great height I would ask you to consider a few personal observations.
Am I correct in saying the Dawesville Cut was the engineering project that saved the flora and fauna populations within the estuary systems from hypereutrophic disaster? I note in recent discussions and comments that some proponents against the proposed development claim that the dredging and development will stir up old sediment etc that will potentially destroy crab and fish populations. Is this really a possibility given that the system is now well flushed by tidal movements, thanks to the "Cut"? Did the construction of the Cut stir up sediment and destroy these same populations (from most accounts they were in trouble already)?
Now, I confess I know nothing about the Yunderup canal developments but, I am intimate with the Mandurah (Halls Head, Waterside etc..) canal developments and I have to say that these waters must be some of the healthiest anywhere. Having the ability to watch dolphin pods, see huge schools of mullet, catch crabs, flounder, enormous bream, juvenile pinkies, cobler, mulloway (these are species I have seen personally) and god know what else is in there, direct from the canal walls tells me that these canals have only enhanced the aquatic environment.
So, with all that said, and with the assistance of some hostoric evidence on the seeming enhancements that developments since the Eighties have acheived, please offer the forum some measured comments on why we think Point Grey may degrade (or otherwise) the environment
Please try to avoid the rich chinese or privileged few arguments, if we can and focus on the environmental debate.
Look forward to the discussion
Thanks

4 stud 13" galvanised rims
Submitted by Adz87 on Fri, 2018-10-12 10:53Hi all,
I recently had a flat on my boat trailer only to notice it is a 4 stud 100mm pattern. Looking to upgrade to galvanised rims while I am at it, but really struggling to find a place in Australia that sells them. Does anyone know where I can get a set? Or am I best off changing to a 5 stud hubs?

Mandurah harley plus some
Submitted by Faulkner Family on Sun, 2018-10-07 14:51With only this weekend for a chance for so.e big stuff we headed out to a spot we havnt fished for a couple of months. Set the drift and had some interest on my line shortly after . Managed to hook up but the fight was a bit different to what ive had before and with a bit of a fight up came my first ever harley and a decent size too. Shortly after sandy nailed a sized dhuie . Went over to a new drift line to avoid cray pots and i managed to get a dhuie at 630 . With not much else on the chew other than some undersize stuff we moved into our kg spot . First drift Sandy nailed 3 nice kgs and me 1. Reset but this time the wind had changed . Both sandy and i got busted off by something and Sandy losing a monster kg just short of the boat and then nailing another a bit smaller. Went back to reset and shortly after with a great fight up came a nice black ass.
Ended up with our bag of demersal and 6 nice kgs so we were happy . Great feed and a first we certainly cant complain.

Morse Cables
Submitted by Swompa on Thu, 2018-10-04 08:19Morning Team,
I need to replace the Morse Cables (throttle and gear selection cables) for my Etec as with my new cable run, the existing ones are around 300mm short.
My existing cables were Teleflex CC20515 9069 and were ~15.5 feet (4.75m) and I need a 17ft replacement
I am unable to find anything with 9069 (and struggle to find anything Teleflex in Australia) so I am hoping someone with some knowledge can let me know what the last numbers mean?
