Long Range headlamp with two modes flood and focus

Dear Experts

What do you recommend for a headlamp that has a long range ( 300 m max ,,,more don't mind) and with two modes flood and focus ? obviously bright

Preferable LED but not must

Prices range up to $150 little bit more no issue.

Something similar to thrunite tn42 but it is not headlamp

Getting boat to coral bay

I am going to coral bay getting there on 28th of april. We have got a caravan now and want to take that and  the boat. If need be I will do two trips but was hoping I could pay someone that is going there to take the boat. I live in bunbury but could get the boat to perth before I leave. Even gettig it to carnarvon would be a big help. The boat is a 6m glass boat on a good trailer that has four brand new bearings and two spare wheels and a complete hub and I have tools and a jack. Some trips out fishing would be part of the deal if interested. If anybody has any ideas could you ring me on 0417829899.

Help with Combos for Dampier

I was wondering if I could get some help on the right combo to get for bottom bouncing and trolling in Dampier, mid range depth, no 80+ work. Don’t do a lot of boat fishing so haven’t needed to get anything! I currently have a tyrnos 30 reel with 50lb braid on, but no boat rods. Should I get a dedicated bottom combo and use the tyrnos 30 for trolling or just use the t30 for both? Any ideas on what rods will suit. I’m thinking around the $200 mark for rods and the same if I need to get another reel.

I have checked the forums and a lot of recommendations say go for talica and t curve which is out of my budget!

Thanks in advance

Carnarvon secure overnight accom

Looking for a secure place for my boat overnight in Carnarvon. Use to stay at the 'Fascine Motel" years ago. Now usually drive straight through but have my wife and 3 year old this time

Fuel Filter

Hi folks, can you tell me the pro's & con's of putting an inline fuel filter in after the seperator between the primer pump and motor.

Had problems with gummed up carbies the last time i went out. Had it all cleaned & repaired with new gaskets & parts, but would like the security knowing that nothing is going to get into them again and spoil a nice day out before it begins.

Was probably related to just sitting around for 10 months with a start in the driveway every month.

Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated as usual.

Cheers.

Mesa camp Cape range

 Hi all,

Heading up to Cape range end of May/Early June. Was wondering how easy it is to put a 3.8m tinny off a trailer at Mesa Camp? Believe there is reasonable fishing about there.

Shark fishing perth

Heading out to Mewstones on the weekend in hope of some salmon but also thought we might leave a shark rod out as we saw one there last week. Just wondering what rig should I use to catch them and do you know of any other good spots to get them off freo.

Also where are the best locations to catch sharks landbased - saw someone get a gummy at south mole on the weekend.

Fishing the Flats at Dirk Hartog

Sounder advice

Hey guys I'm chasing some advice on a sounder for my kayak. It will be mainly used for locating redfin and bottom contours in the dams and rivers, I don't want to spend too much on it as there's a good chance it will end up submerged at some stage. Have looked at the lowrance hook 2 for 119 but I think I'd prefer a tall skinny sounder rather than the wider models. Perhaps the pirahna max series from hummingbird?

Salmon rods and reels

 Hi all,

Im sure this question has been butchered :/

But I am looking for rods in the 8-10ft range to cast lures for salmon, plugs, poppers and 20-30g twisties. Most likely off the rocks or small surf beach.

I imagine 20lb braid and 30lb leader. Budget is around $80-130 (rod/reel ea), could go less.

Any specific suggestions? Also fibre glass or graphite?

Thanks friends.

Hi peeps. I have been going crabbing / prawning Mandurah way quite regularly this last few weeks and i love it so much, only the drive is starting to kill me. I use to go to a boat ramp near the raffles but never had luck till now. Does anyone have any successful spots they would be willing to share with a girl haha. Jetty/scooping... unless of course you have a spare spot on the boat

Salmon Run Perth 2019

With the salmon almost in perth just need a few tips on how to catch them as this is first year targeting. We have a boat 6.1m so will be helpful to get to those offshore reefs thinking mewstone. Just need some info on what are you guys favourite lures for boat, what pound leader, favourite methods to catch them i.e trolling, casting, bait. Favourite time of day, favourite spots off fremantle. Does burley help at all. Also where is your favourite fishing store in perth to buy your lures thinking tackle west in cannington or AFW in freo. Cheers.

Mooring a tinny at monkey Mia

Has anyone got any info about mooring a tinnie at Monkey Mia as we are staying at the resort in June and thought it would be easier to do that than have to put it on the trailer each day.

Duo jigs

He guys just wondering  if  anyone that uses these has experienced any problems  with them lately ?   I've  been  using  them for awhile now and never had any issues , but today i had 2 of them lose their prongs on squid  ,they just  pulled straight  out of the body of the jig , both happened in the top of the water column  and weren't  snagged was curious  if there's  a  faulty  batch out there atm ,cheers

Sea search

Choppers have been searching the area off Point Peron and the Southwest corner of garden Island all afternoon, not seeing anything in the media though.

Mustad tainawa hooks WTF did mustad do to them

Been using these hooks for the last 20 odd years and have managed to bend a total of three hooks one on a massive marlin and two on big cod.   Bought a box last year and have bent  about 30 of them and on fish as small as 2kg spangos.  The  turned in part of the circle is folding over under little pressure so not hooking up. I thought it was a one off but I got a few out of a  another box the other day that someone just bought  and same thing first one hook up and drop fish after a bit of a run hook comes back bent like a banana.
