 Just wanna know what all you dedicated whiting fisherman are using to chase these yellow fin with poppers and stick baits. Want some thing ultra light so throw me some ideas. Went out dhu fin hunting on opening day and couldn't wait to get home to go chase ting again I am loving it ATM

Do any of you guys launch your boat on your own? Mine is a 4.85m fiberglass cuddy cabin, not sure if it's possible to retrieve on your own.

Does anyone know if the the upgrade is complete and usable?

Soap box time. Just had a look on Perth now and saw the photo of a headless tiger shark foung by beach goers at a local groyn. WTF. What are people thinking .. No dramas catching them if thats your thing but dont leave it laying around to stink up a beach and give the anti fishing groups more ammunition. If this was you,  you are a complete muppet and I look forward to bumping into you next time you do it.

Hello All

I’m looking to do a fishing/camping trip upto Shark Bay. Does anyone have any suggestions wrt appropriate places to camp & launch a 4m tinnie from the beach. Pls note I'm limited to towing with an AWD Kluger, obviously does not have the capability of the Prados etc but can still cope on the intermediate stuff. Ive never been up there and would appreciate some guidance to prevent wasting time in the wrong spot and spending more time having fun!

 Well what an awesome day it was out on the water. With getting the boat limit. Even if I did fall over on the way back to the car while carrying the baby! But don't worry no babies where harmed as I made sure I held him up. Don't ask me how I did it, but I did! I would ask for a bit of Tea and sympathy but its too hot for tea and I would much rather a bourbon!

hey guys – went fishing today off Mindarie (three mile out from quinns caravan park) and had a shark circle us for a while. Couldn't tell if it was a Bronzie or a Tiger... what do you guys think?

Either way, it was an awesome sight. The only concerning thing is that it was right where I plan to dive on Saturday!:(

I am heading up to kalbarri in January for 6 days from Friday 24th onwards, last time I was there we did a bit of beach fishing from wagoe but this time If the swell/weather looks good I'll probably bring my boat up. (5mtr Trailcraft) I have heard It can be a bit tricky getting out from the boat launching area and have also heard that I should pop in to the sea rescue place for some tips before I head off...Is this true or is there any other pointers someone would like to share.... I know no-one will give up gps spots or any of that just some general advice would be great... If anyone lives local and want a free ride out just drop us a line and I'll take you out, I'll pay for all the fuel/bait/beers etc... 

 Few photos from the last weeks mulloway fishing and free diving efforts. Seen a big school of salmon on boxing day so there not far away now!! Lost a nice mulloway that was 15kg+ this week to.

 Another awesome day out on the water fishing. If anyone is in Jurien Bay atm the boat is due to come in at about 1pm at the marina. Will be landing at the pontoon for anyone that wants to come on down and have a look at the days catch.

I just got told that they boated out again. Will post pics up later when the boys land.

It's amazing that the forecast for today was for thunder and windy a few days ago, yet today it is beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a better day.

Hi folks.

I will be travelling on my own from the uk to exmouth in May 2013 for 2 weeks of land based fishing. As I will be on my own I am trying to keep the cost of my accommodation down. I would prefer a room of my own to store all my kit in. So far it looks like the potshot resort is the best option, but it has some bad reviews about how noisy the rooms are because the bar is so close. Can anyone comment or give any other suggestions?

 Can anyone please give some insight as to what are the best soft plastics to use for flathead (swan river) and what sort of rig is required to get them. I'm thinking just a jig head but not sure what size hook. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. 

Anyone have any ideas on how to isolate a single battery, just need to stop the kids in the street playing with the switches ect and running the battery flat.

Stayed at rotto last night. First people to the basin for a swim. As i was standing in the middle of the open sandy area a little occy decided to come take shelter around my legs. Wasnt untill it was less than a foot away i realised what type of occy it was WTF!!!! Lucky i had the go pro and got some killa footage. Here are a few screen prints of the video. I was so lucky no to be bitten. Enough venom to kill 25 adults apparently.
We told the right people and they did what the could to get rid of it or shoo it away...

 hey guys,,, gotta a bit of a dilemma atm,, i have a lemax president royal,12ft graphit rod,,rated to 60lb,, ive been running a spheros 8000 with 40lb with it,,pretty good combo,,however the pheros is gunna become a spare and im looking for a new reel to suit,,,, the rod itself has heaps of grunt but in saying that is quite flicky,,,id like something i can use to flick lures off rocks and beach(so nothing massive n heavy) but something that im able to soak a big bait with confidence,,,, was thinking daiwa saltist 4500,, or fj stradic 8000,,, dunnoooooo!!

if anyones got that rod id love to know what ur runniong on it and just anyones general opinion,,, budget to 400issshhhhhhhhhhhhh,,,,ahahah

I have a question about the snapper ban. i am going to take my dad fishing tomoz, am just wondering can we keep a snapper IF we catch one on the 5 fathom behind covo reef or is this still a no catch zone because its in warnbro sound. any info would be great as he is coming up from northam today. i dont want to do the wrong thing. we have a 4.5m ally runabout so i dont go much further out than that, but would like to catch him a feed.

I have just looked at the sea surface temperature forecast for the next week and for obvious reasons it really cranks up!! Should be good to get the Pelagics going for the next few months!! I'm hanging out for some landbased spaniards!!!

I'm looking for information on landbased shark fishing. What rigs and what pound wire? Basically I want to know everything to do with the terminal tackle side of it. I have the rods, reels, line etc but I need to know what pound wire and mono top shot (if necessary) What size hooks, What type of hooks, crimps and everything else I will need to make shark rigs. Any information on what I will need to make shark rigs and stuff is appreciated! :)
