Albany scallops
Submitted by Pitty on Sat, 2013-12-21 22:55I'm heading down to albany tomorrow for a couple of weeks and in the past when walking along Middleton beach have noticed a lot of scallop shells.
Just wondering if anyone would know what ground / depth these guys are hiding in, or even any general locations. I have dived a fair bit down there over the past 20 years but have never seen any. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Penn prevail OH
Submitted by sheldoncy23 on Sat, 2013-12-21 20:07Hey lads
Im looking into getting the prevail OH for my squall 60. I've read up on it and seems it's a quality rod but I've been told it's a very high mount. Does anyone have any input in the rod and if it would be easy to cut it down to make a lower mount. It will be used as an lbg rod so very little casting.
Cheers lads

garmin gpsmap 750s problems
Submitted by monc on Sat, 2013-12-21 12:47g'day all thanks for the ongoing enjoyment from the forum and invaluable info.
unfortunately my first post is regaurding problems with my chartplotter.
ive had the garmin gpsmap 750s fishfinder/gps combo since march and been a little disappointed frankly. nearly 2 weeks ago the gps froze and has not moved off that screen since. it has froze before but always been able to turn off/on and comes good. the fishfinder/sonar is still working fine and touch screen is as good as it was but just the chartplotter/gps componant is still frozen.
any info on similar past probs would be greatly appreciated, my guess is the internal antenna is stuffed?? as you can imagine its a little difficult to get technical support this time of year. anyone out there a garmin rep??
cheers.

How much fuel????
Submitted by baddog35 on Sat, 2013-12-21 07:51G'day everyone,
I am a first time user of this forum and relatively new to fishing and boating so go gentle with me!
We are looking to go out to the FADS to chase some dollies and was just wondering from others experience what amount of fuel is generally taken?
We have a 6m half cabin with a Johnson 150v6, 4 medium sized guys and tackle etc
Im reckoning around 300ltrs should be ample but we havnt been this far offshore before so any help and advise would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

Wobble rollers what colour
Submitted by meglodon on Fri, 2013-12-20 11:54Hi good people,
can some one please help me with advise on the fitting of wobble rollers to my trailer.
I have a 6 metre quinnie on a traileze trailer which now requires a bit of repair. One of the things I would like to do whilst I have the boat of the trailer is to fit a wobble roller set up, now what I need to know is this.
What colour wobble rollers are for what purpose/type of hull.
What diameter rollers should I get.
How much weight is supported on the rollers, from what I can make out 99% of the boat weight is supported on the keel rollers and the wobble rollers on the sides carry very little weight.
Is this right.
I have thought about how many rollers I will need for each side and have come up with 3 sets of double rollers for each side all mounted on fore and aft roller brackets. That is 4 rollers each bracket in a fore and aft configuration, does that sound about right for my size boat.
Any and all suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thank you in anticipation for your much appreciated answers.
