the afl you have to wonder
Submitted by petermac on Thu, 2014-06-12 20:12I am not going to name names but you have to wonder about the afls selections in to the hall of fame this year when two blokes , Austin "okker" Roberson snr and Austin Roberson jrn have been over looked again , bloody disgrace in my opinion
Vid of GW in Sydney harbour
Submitted by kirky79 on Thu, 2014-06-12 20:05Watched 'The Project' tonight and they had a YouTube clip of a guy jumping off a cliff in Sydney Harbour with a go pro on & after he hits the water a his mate yells out shark from the cliff top. He puts his head under and not long after a Great White comes into the picture.
Probably a hoax but looks pretty well done if it is. I have only seen it the once. What is everyone's thoughts. Sorry don't have the link.

Farewell Darren Glass
Submitted by Dale on Thu, 2014-06-12 10:51Well I could say something like he is jumping from a sinking ship, but I won't. He is a West Coast great player, very good career but the injuries were to much, good luck going forward.

Boat thief caught today
Submitted by Davenay on Tue, 2014-06-10 21:28Finally we have caught one of these pond scum red handed.
Had the great pleasure this morning to help return a stolen boat to its owner. Stolen from a business in wangara on Friday after smashing down a fence and damaging other boats to get it out. They drove it to darch and started to strip and change the appearance both internally and externally.
8 police ,the two owners and I surprised this scum with the boat in their front yard. He is now on a string of charges including theft, removal of HIN, drugs and some others. Great day for the good guys., if I had their name I would post it but as it is so recent and I wanted to share this news I havnt been given their name yet.
Got you, you piece of shit.

Brain Dead Clowns.
Submitted by Cruise Control on Tue, 2014-06-10 12:32I was reading a post on fishing discussions where one member had damage caused by some joker pulling the safety pin on his drawbar. It never ceases to amaze me how many many clowns there are out there who unthinkingly pull some stupid stunt without any thought at all of the possible consequences.
I was towing my boat to Mandurah for servicing a weekend ago when I was overtaken by a couple of young blokes in a black Commodore SS. I was towing in the left lane at 95 and he went past me at about 110. No problem with that until this twit hoiks an empty crownie bottle (it was 10.00am) out the window straight into my path. 3T of boat at 95 doesnt take very good evasive action especially when the bottle hits the road just in front of you. All I could do was hang on and hope.
Fortunately the bottle was smashed to smithereens and I suffered no damage other than some glass spliters hitting the car but FFS what could have happened if I had swerved suddenly to avoid ? Where are the coppers when you need them ? Seems to me this is a great advert for one of those crash cameras. At least I might have got a number plate and had some chance of getting this wanker off the road.

what a horrible way to go[ croc attack]
Submitted by uncle on Mon, 2014-06-09 12:21comisserations to the family that lost their Dad, Husband in that crocodile attack up north, this will make a lot of people think about hanging out of a tinnie or grabbing a fish off the side of the boat, I always thought this is stupid when I grab a big mack by the tail and hoist him aboard, guess I will be still thinking about it

Black Pistol Fire - rockin' live set
Submitted by Ben Derecki on Thu, 2014-06-05 22:31These guys are a bit like the Black Keys were before they got all radio friendly - they rock more though.
It's a half hour set with a bit of chat in the middle, if you can't be bothered with the whole thing this is the last song of the set - gives you an idea of the bluesy rock mayhem they play:
The guitarist has got some pretty mad riffs. The drummer is like a hairy Charles Manson, he's got more fill-ins than my social basketball team though. Pretty cool.
The second song, Crow's Feet, is a blinder too.

Streaming radio - what are you listening to?
Submitted by Ben Derecki on Thu, 2014-06-05 17:15A couple of weeks ago I stumbled onto KEXP, a Seattle radio station which is a bit like RTR but better. If you like indie music and are over JJJ then I'd recommend giving them a go.
If you've got any other station recommendations pop them up!

Thanks VN6DI
Submitted by Swompa on Sun, 2014-06-01 21:55Taking the big boat (racing yacht) down river to fremantle today for our winter campaign today. Just got through the bridges and the motor decided that after two hours of motoring, it had enough.
19m yacht with a 20m mast, weighing 10t thankfully has a bit of momentum and thankfully with an outgoing tide we were able to drift away from the bridges....until the wind started to turn us around. When a passing boat started towing us, we were 1.5m away from mating with a ferry.
After a few moments and an anxious conversation, Freo sea rescue came out and towed us around to fremantle sailing club.
Plenty of fuel so fkd if we know what went wrong, though 8 knots of breeze made it an ideal day as 25 knots of Seabreeze would have had a different result.
Thanks to VN6DI.
West Coast - Where to now?
Submitted by big john on Sun, 2014-06-01 20:06Looking forward to some genuine thoughts from the WC faithful on where exactly their team is at.
Almost full strength this week, and destroyed on their own dung hill. New coach, not sure what his game plan is. Is it season over and is their any young talent coming through?
Over to you boys.
