New trailer
Submitted by Kevi71 on Tue, 2018-07-31 12:23Hi all,
Well it’s time for a new trailer. Some kind peanut fell asleep at the wheel and drove into me while I was doing a tow.
Boat now in the repairers and trailer totally written off.
Anyone have any recommendations of a decent trailer build mob to get in contact with to find a replacement?
Boat is a 5.5m Ali plate boat. Any information would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance

Why upgrade to a Sustain from Stradic CI4
Submitted by crasny1 on Mon, 2018-07-30 07:54Hi Wreckers
Just an opinion.
Cant see why you would pay ~$150 extra for a slightly lighter, one ball bearing extra reel from Stradic CI4 to a Sustain HG. The handle on the Stradic "feels" better in my opinion as well.
Am I missing something here.
Lost a rod/reel combo overboard with a Sustain 2500 (Not happy Jan!!) and wanting to replace that, and add another light weight whiting popper combo to the list. Doing that with Sustains and quality rods prob ~$1300, Stradic CI4's with identical rods ~$1000.
Cheers

Fishing at sunrise
Submitted by GCjetski on Sat, 2018-07-28 20:20A video from last weeks fishing trip. Catching my quota by 9am. Big tides meant that there was alot of logs and debris floating in the water, luckily smooth seas made things easy to see

Exmouth Blue Marlin Season
Submitted by SEAFORCE CORAL BAY on Sat, 2018-07-28 19:25We will be running Game Fishing and Deep Drop Charters departing exmouth this Blue Marlin Season (October-March). We will be fishing our 50ft Wescoaster "Valaint". She is not you conventional air conditioned show pony game boat. But if you want to catch fish she does the job, wth the large aluminum hull and Detroit diesel it raises fish like no other. We also have the ability to fish in conditions many others can not as a large safe vessel we can tow lures with a large clean wake in allmost any conditions if required. We plan to mainly fish heavy tackle chassing big Blue Marlin. But we can fish allmost anything and have top of the range Shimano game gear from 10 to 60kg and Diawa Seabor electrics for deep dropping. If you want to tick some things off your bucket list you will not find better value when it come to game fishing. More details on our website seaforcecharters.com.au

We can take up to 18 on the boat but Game fishing is best suited to groups of 3-6.
We will also be competeing in most of the tournaments including:

Shark Bay worth fishing in September?
Submitted by blu2fish on Wed, 2018-07-25 14:25I'm tossing up between a trip tp Denham or Exmouth early in September, have fished Exxie (shark heaven) between March and November over the last 12 years and know what to expect, been to Denham a couple of times but not in September so was wondering if it would be worth going there instead of the trek to Exmouth, would appreciate a few opinions from those that have done this.

navionics card
Submitted by wez0062 on Mon, 2018-07-23 12:09hey guys, i just got a Lawarnce 2 Hook 5 unit for my 4.2mtr dinghy, i didn't realise it would not have a navionics card. Should i just go for a "silver card " as i won't be going deep, just local coastal waters bewteen Jurien bay & Denmark, or do i have to get a Gold card. I thought Silver would be fine, but i am sure it is only usefull in water up to 10mtrs deep. I am CONFUSED.
PLEASE HELP :)
