God bless the woman that shared this!!! Another Laugh!!!
Submitted by Doooma on Wed, 2012-08-15 18:02Hair removal 101...God love the woman who shared this...
All hair removal methods have tricked us with their promises of easy, painless removal - The epilady, scissors, razors, Nair and now...the wax.
My night began as any other normal weekday night. Come home, fix dinner, play with the kids. I then had the thought that would ring painfully in my mind for the next few hours: Maybe I should pull the wax out of the medicine cabinet.
So I headed to the site of my demise; the bathroom. It was one of those cold wax kits. No melting a clump of hot wax, you just rub the strips together in your hand and then they get warm and you peel them apart, press it to your leg (or wherever else) and hair comes right off. No muss, no fuss. How hard can it be? I mean I'm no girly girl; I am mechanically inclined enough that I can figure it out. *YA THINK!!!*
So I pull one of the thin strips out. Its two strips facing each other stuck together. Instead of rubbing them together, I get out the hair dryer and heat it to 1000 degrees. Cold wax my rear end (Oh how this phrase haunts me!)
I lay the strip across my thigh. Hold the skin around it tight and pull. OK so it wasn't the best feeling, but it wasn't too bad. I can do this! Hair removal no longer eludes me! I am She-ra, fighter of all wayward body hair and smooth skin extraordinaire.
With my next wax strip I move north. After checking on the kids I sneak back into the bathroom, for the ultimate hair fighting championship. I drop my panties and place one foot on the toilet. Using the same procedure I apply the was strip across the right side of bikini line, covering the right half of my v-g-na and stretching down to the inside of my butt cheek. Yes, it was a long strip)
I inhale deeply and brace myself. RRRRIIIPPP!!!!
I'm blind!!! Blinded from pain!!!!....OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!
Vision returning, I notice that I've only managed to pull off half of the strip. crap!!! Another deep breath and RRIIPP. Everything is swirly and spotted. Do I hear crashing drums???
OK, back to normal. I want to see my trophy - A wax covered strip with my hairy pelt, that has caused me so much pain, sticking to it. I want to revel in the glory that is my
triumph over body hair. I hold up the strip! There's no hair on it.
Where is the hair. WHERE IS THE WAX??? Slowly I ease my head down, foot still perched on the toilet. I see the hair..The hair that should be on the strip. I touch. I am touching wax. crap I run my fingers over the most sensitive part of my body, which is now covered in cold wax and matted hair.
Then I make the next BIG mistake...................remember my foot is still propped up on the toilet. I know I need to do something. So I put my foot down. noo!!!!!!!! I hear the slamming of the cell door. V-g-na sealed shut. Butt?? Sealed shut.
I penguin walk around the bathroom trying to figure out what to do and think to myself "Please don't let me get the urge to poop. My head may pop off. Hot water!! Hot water melts wax!! I'll run the hottest water I can stand into the bathtub, get in, immerse the wax covered bits and the wax should melt and I can gently wipe it off right???
*WRONG!!!!!!!*
I get in the tub - the water is slightly hotter than that used to torture prisoners of war or sterilize surgical equipment - I sit. Now, the only thing worse that having your nether businesses glued together is having them glued together and then glued to the bottom of the tub. In scalding hot water. Which, by the way, doesn't melt cold wax.
So, now I'm stuck to the bottom of the tub!! God bless the man that convinced me I should have a phone in the bathroom!!!!! I call my friend thinking surely she's waxed before and has some secret of how to get me undone.
It's a very good conversation starter "So, my butt and who-ha are stuck to the bottom of the tub!" There is a slight pause. She doesn't have a secret trick but does try to hide the laughter from me. She wants to know exactly where the wax is located on bottom "Are we talking cheeks or hole or what?"
She's laughing out loud by now...I can hear her. I give her the rundown and she suggests I call the number on the side of the box. YEAH!!!!! Right!! I should be the joke of someone else's night.
While we go through various solutions. I resort to scraping the wax off with a razor. Nothing feels better then to have your girlie goodies covered in hot wax, glued shut, stuck to the tub in super hot water and then dry shaving the sticky wax off!! By now the brain is not working, dignity has taken a major hike and I slip into glazed donut land.
My friend is still talking with me and my hand reaches towards the saving grace....the lotion they give you to remove the excess wax. What do I really have to lose at this point. I rub some on and OH MY GOD!!!!!!! The scream probably woke the kids, scared the dickens out of my friend, but I really don't care. "IT WORKS!! It works!!
I get a hearty congratulation from my friend and she hangs up. I successfully remove the remainder of the wax and then notice to my grief and despair..................................
THE HAIR IS STILL THERE.......................ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
So I shaved it off. Heck, I'm numb at this point.
Next week I'm going to try hair color......

Do it molds
Submitted by Fraser 5.25 on Tue, 2012-08-14 17:32Just wondering if anyone has had a dabble with making their own butterfly jigs and how you get on. I have recently bought a 5 ounce butterfly jig mold from Do It Molds and poured a couple of jigs, spray painted them and stuck on some reflective tape. Does anyone else make their own here and do you have any luck? I haven't had a chance to get out for a while and want to know if I'll be wasting my time.

Submitted by timboon on Tue, 2012-08-14 14:08Gday there FW crew...
I want to buy myself a 12volt am/fm radio that an Ipod can plug into for when camping so I dont have to have the Ute door open...
I can fit a lighter socket or what ever to it and run it off my Deep cycle I use in my camp but not sure what to buy - I`m sure there would be something pretty good out there now, hopefully you lot have come across something in your time and can put me onto it...It only has to be a reciever as I`m going to buy some good quality outdoor speakers to run of it....
When you go camping you gotta have the mod cons!!!

WARNING... Go to the toilet BEFORE reading this!!!
Submitted by Doooma on Sat, 2012-08-11 19:01Veet for Men Hair Removal Gel Creme 200 ml (Personal Care)
After having been told my danglies looked like an elderly rastafarian I decided to take the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only been mildly succesful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the more difficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on the missus's birthday as a bit of a treat.
I ordered it well in advance and working in the North, I considerd myself a bit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote them off as soft office types...oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was.
I waited until the other half was tucked up in bed and after giving some vague hints about a special surprise I went down to the bathroom. Initially all went well and I applied the gel and stood waiting for something to happen. I didn't have long to wait.
At first there was a gentle warmth which in a matter of seconds was replaced by an intense burning and a feeling I can only describe as like being given a barbed wire wedgie by two people intent on hitting the ceiling with my head.
Religion hadn't featured much in my life until that night but I suddenly became willing to convert to any religion to stop the violent burning around the turd tunnel and what seemed like the destruction of the meat and two veg.
Struggling to not bite through my bottom lip I tried to wash the gel of in the sink and only succeeded in blocking the plughole with a mat of hair. Through the haze of tears I struggled out of the bathroom across the hall into the kitchen by this time walking was not really possible and I crawled the final yard to the fridge in the hope of some form of cold relief.
I yanked the freezer drawer out and found a tub of ice cream, tore the lid of and positioned it under me. The relief was fantastic but only temporary as it melted fairly quickly and the fiery stabbing soon returned .
Due to the shape of the ice cream tub I hadn't managed to give the starfish any treatment and I groped around in the draw for something else as I was sure my vision was going to fail fairly soon.
I grabbed a bag of what I later found out was frozen sprouts and tore it open trying to be quiet as I did so. I took a handful of them and tried in vain to clench some between the cheeks of my arse. This was not doing the trick as some of the gel had found it's way up the chutney channel and it felt like the space shuttle was running it's engines behind me.
This was probably and hopefully the only time in my life I was going to wish there was a gay snowman in the kitchen which should give you some idea of the depths I was willing to sink to in order to ease the pain.
The only solution my pain crazed mind could come up with was to gently ease one of the sprouts where no veg had gone before.
Unfortunately, alerted by the strange grunts coming from the kitchen the other half chose that moment to come and investigate and was greeted by the sight of me, arse in the air, strawberry ice cream dripping from my bell end pushing a sprout up my arse while muttering.." Ooooh that feels good ".
Understandably this was a shock to her and she let out a scream and as I hadn't heard her come in it caused an involutary spasm of shock in myself which resulted in the sprout being ejected at quite some speed in her direction.
I can understand that having a sprout farted against your leg at 11 at night in the kitchen probably wasn't the special surprise she was expecting and having to explain to the kids the next day what the strange hollow in the ice cream was didn't improve my status...
So to sum it up Veet removes hair, dignity and self respect...:)

Quick Lady Joyce trip
Submitted by carnarvonite on Sat, 2012-08-11 17:36Mate Colin and I took off for what we hoped would be a trip down to one of the channels to catch a black snapper or two and maybe a pinky.
Got away from the ramp at 0745 and after a bit of searching for a channel opening and changing plans we arrived at the Joyce at around 0845-0900.
First dozen or so casts with a mulie resulted in trevally of around 2 kg and pinkies about an inch undersize plus a tailor that went 3 -3.5kg, all released.
Col cast his line away from the wreck and immediately hooked in seeing what and where he'd got his I followed up with a good keeper as well
When it was 1100 and time to leave so Col could be back in time for work we had 7 pinkies and 3 reasonable trevs in the box and had deliberately released something like 50 undersize pinkies and near the same in small trevs plus 2 good tailor and 4 unintentionable releases where the fish decided they didn't want to look at us two old farts

Submitted by BOOMER on Thu, 2012-08-09 22:38Take from this what you will,
Over the last month or two there has been a few post on here with what i would call exagerated wieghts posted - personally it shits me and ruins what is otherwise a great fish -
Now we are all fisherman and tend to get a little excited when a good fish is boated, i have attached a photo of a Dhufish caught a recently when i took a couple mates out for a fish, when the fish was brought on board as you would expect the wieghts where bellowed out for all to here- wwwhhhhoaa look at that it`s gotta go ??????? I`ll let this run for a day or so and see what everyone reckons- then i`ll tell you what was bellowed out on Boating the fish/ estimation once the dust had settled / and actual wieght fromt the Co op scales.
I Know it`s hard not seeing the fish in the flesh but to help. Reel Thunnus 8000 ,Jig shimano slidend 160gm
This post is not having a go at anyone one personally but just to give maybe the less experianced/over exagerators a bit of an idea as to what there looking at.

you are all a bunch of f)$&ktards... every single one of you.
Submitted by scotto on Thu, 2012-08-09 16:18so,
whenever the government/fisheries/etc implement or propose a change in either bag limits, marine parks, demersal closures, etc, every single person on here jumps up and down about it, and whinges like a mutherf@@&$er about how wrong it is, and how its their right in WA to catch fish, or a feed, or teach their kids how to fish, blah blah blah.
as soon as some one wants to actually do something proactive about it - http://fishwrecked.com/forum/keep-australia-fishing-convoy-we-need-you - we get 3 takers, out of a potential membership on fishwrecked that is in the 10's of thousands.
hang your heads in shame.
if these new marine parks, etc manage to get through the cracks, and you did nothing about it, then you've got no one to blame except yourselves, and i dont want to hear you whinge about it on here.
fair enough if youve got a legitimate excuse, but if your anything like me, you would have definately taken a sickie to actually go fishing a few times, and this should be no different.
load up on piss or something and make a day of it, but for f&@& sake, get around this guys.

Please Help out a fellow fisherman & woman "Job"
Submitted by tailor marc on Wed, 2012-08-08 17:59Hi guys,
My Girlfriend Lisa is looking for a full time position in anything. Admin, receptionist, clerical.
She has some seriously good qualifacations. Finished her masters degree in philosophy and english literature, holds a Bachelor of Arts with first class honours - very organised and very smart. She edits all of my articles - is very good with writing and Microsoft Office applications.
This has been an issue, though, as employers all say she is overqualified for these types of jobs and no one will give her a chance to show them how good she is. She's also having trouble getting higher level jobs because she has a lack of experience, having just finished her Masters. She's been looking for sometime now with no luck.
Whoever hires her will definitely not regret giving her a chance. She's a hard worker and very dedicated. It's frustrating because employers presume she'll just leave but she is looking at long term prospects as we would like to buy a house together in the future.
If anyone knows of any openings, or has any leverage to help her get her foot in the door, a PM would be most appreciated, or you can call me on 0434576424.
Thanks heaps in advance!

Ebay LED Lightbars
Submitted by Wet Dreams on Tue, 2012-08-07 20:20Hi All,
Just thought I'd put it out there and see if anyone has bought a LED Lightbar off Ebay for their 4x4? Have been looking around for a while now at all the name brand models from the major shops/retailers in Perth and online and some of the prices and absolutely crazy! I do alot of driving at night both on and offroad and the current spotties just arn't quite cutting it so looking to add some extra light to the situation.
So checked out Ebay and found some that seem like they might be ok and last a while, link to the model-
Just wanted to see if anyone has got a cheapo LED Lightbar and their opnions on them and wether they're worth the money or better off biting the bullet and spending an arm and leg and getting a brand name one. Any info and opinions would be awesome.
Cheers Sam.

Paid paternity leave
Submitted by Brad Y on Tue, 2012-08-07 10:01Ive spent the last hour on the phone in queues and being handballed from one department to another, so I thought I would post this up as I would more than likely get more sense here.
Can anyone tell me the current go with paid paternity leave for men. Do we get it, was it overlooked when the legislation was brought in?, who would know etc?
Im 4 weeks away from the little tacker or tackette arriving and wanted to find out. Either I need to book in some of this leave or some annual leave.
Can anyone help out at all?

Skb tackle boxes feedback
Submitted by scano on Sun, 2012-08-05 10:12Hi all,
Been having a look on line for a really good quality tackle box to fit all of my gear in for fishing out deep.
I currently have a large Plano box that has severd me well but it is starting to become a little tired and fall apart.
I came across a product called skb tackle boxes from America. They come with unconditional lifetime warranty and are basically made of similar material to poly craft boats with stainless stell hinges and fittings ect.
I have emiled a few companies in the USA asking for postal cost's but I better have a scotch or 2 before I open the responses as I am sure it is going t be big $$
So my question is this
Has anyone here already bought one as yet or looked into buying one?
Does anyone know of anyone in Australia that sells them?
And if anyone has one at the moment can you provide any feedback ?
Many thanks
Scano
