Driveway Advice
Submitted by joycey on Fri, 2016-11-18 18:26Hi all,
Not fishing related but after opinions/advice about driveways.
I am looking at widening / replacing my existing driveway so can park boat on it easier
Not sure whether to go for pavers or exposed concrete aggregate
What are pros and cons of both and which would you recommend
Also any recommended installers
Cheers for any advice

Back in Business
Submitted by Dale on Sat, 2016-11-05 15:51Got the new donk fitted this afternoon. Just need to drill new holes since the bolt hole pattern is different to the last one and chase up some tamper proof bolts and nuts. Many thanks to Nick at Jetpower for a great seamless deal. Looking forward to running it in, might see me on the river during the week. Wifes car has been relegated to the street, but it's a small price to pay.

Aussie bowlers are bowling a relentless WACA line and length and getting the rewards. South Africa are in disarray!

Outboard Stolen
Submitted by Dale on Sun, 2016-10-30 13:44My boat was parked up in secure ( and I use that word loosely ) storage and some prick has relieved my dinghy of its outboard, sometime between last Thursday and today. Done a report with the police but don't expect I'll see it again. Will talk to the people at the storage place tomorrow to see if something shows up on their security. Nothing is sacred.

Point to Point Cameras
Submitted by Dale on Sat, 2016-10-29 07:17Watch out for these when heading south on Forrest Hwy, they seem to be working now. They are about 40-50ks apart and measure the time it takes for your vehicle to go from one to the other. Both south and north lanes have them. First camera is shortly after where the Old Coast Rd joins the Hwy and the second is down Myalup way.

Sound Marine Products
Submitted by Ashen on Fri, 2016-10-28 22:59Has anyone bought things from Sound Marine Products? They have an add on Gumtree advertising cheap GPS combos etc. I had a look at their website and a lot of the prices are half of "retail".
Too good to be true?

Boat insurance assessor needed
Submitted by mjohns on Fri, 2016-10-28 16:36Hi, Advise required please. Someone smashed into my the back of my boat and trailer a few days ago when I was on my way to the marina and pretty much wrecked the motor, trailer and boat.
The guys insurance company asked me to get a marine assessor to work our the value of damage caused for the claim as they dont deal in boats enough to have heir own marine assessor.
Its in a holding yard in Innaloo, does anyone know who would do this valuation for me please? Its a 4.2 Quinny centre console. The tow car has a fair bit of damage also but the insurance company is sorting that out ok.
Thanks
Mick

Snake Repellers?
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Mon, 2016-10-24 12:23Does any one know if those snake repellers work, the ones that put out the sonic thump? Or anyone know of any other ideas, considering the shovel is only once you see them and generally you dont until its too late.
Old man is seeing a fair few come out down south and I'm wondering if it might be a worthy investment?

2016 AFL Draft
Submitted by Jackfrost80 on Mon, 2016-10-24 10:06So now we turn to the draft where the fortunes of a club can be made (The Bont) or broken (Masten).
Gold Coast have picks 4, 6, 8 and 10 which would normally work in West Coast’s favour as they’d be looking to draft by position and not necessarily the best player at that pick but they are chasing quality mids after losing O’Meara and Prestia which is also our area of need with our pick 12.
I have a feeling that West Coast are going to pull a big surprise and draft Powell-Pepper to add some grunt to our midfield and learn under the tutelage of Priddis and Mitchell. It is highly likely that we’ll have to use pick 34 to match a bid on Waterman.
Word is that Freo are chasing Petrevski-Seton and that they are confident he will still be available at pick 7 but if Tim English is available then surely they take him.
