Rodeo 4x4 2004 rims
Submitted by Mark Willy on Wed, 2010-01-06 12:46Hi All, greetings for 2010. I like My land based Fishing as much from a Boat but at the moment I'm trying to get a set wheels for My Rodeo 2004 4x4 fishing wagon. Does anyone out there know if the rims of a Ford Ranger will adapt to Rodeo's without fowling on anything,eg. brake calipers / rear brake drums etc. Any feedback on what will fit would be appreciated, regards Willy

Seen some good results with them so would like to have a look at some.

Kalbarri Classic
Submitted by mako magic on Tue, 2010-01-05 13:28Next month sees the Kalbarri classic being fished over the 26th 27th and 28th of Feb.
Possibly if all goes well there will be 3 on my boat fishing.
Who else is planning on heading up and whats the plans for fishing.
I like the idea of heading up during the comp as there should be a few boats up there for safety reasons, never been there before, and will give an idea of areas to fish. though people can feel free to pm me extra info on the side

Missing boat
Submitted by carnarvonite on Tue, 2010-01-05 08:34Had a phone call from Shark Bay police informing us/Carnarvon Sea Rescue to be on the look out for a 21foot Southwind Centre console that broke its moorings on new years eve and hasn't been seen since.
With a bit of luck someone may spot it but it seems someone's xmas present could't wait for the wind to drop and went fishing on its own.
You can feel for the owner when he came down to inspect it and found it gone

3 lucky divers
Submitted by Faulkner Family on Mon, 2010-01-04 23:43heard today on the radio about 3 divers rescued out near rotto after being swept away from their boat by a strong current. luckily the police boat just happened to be in the right place at the right time. just goes to show how dangerous it can be out there for either experienced or new divers

Exmouth for Christmas?
Submitted by Goodz on Mon, 2010-01-04 21:33After a less than relaxing holiday to busselton this year we're lookin to head somewhere different next year. Gotta get away from the rest of the family that goes down that way every year! Thinking of Exxy for 2 week over christmas. I know it'll be hotter up that way but still, anyone give some feedback on the idea? Who's been up there this christmas? Also any reccomendations of accomodation for 2 adults and 2 children (2 bedroom)? Missus is thinking of the Exmouth Ningaloo Caravan Resort as we stayed up there a few years ago and she loved the pool.
Will be lookin to possibly hire a boat up there too unless theres anyone that wants to take me out! (Adam?!?! :)
Gotta make plans pretty soon as christmas accom seems to get booked up the year in advance! Give us some time to save too!
Thanks for any help!!!

Boat Insurers?
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Mon, 2010-01-04 11:44Just had a few thoughts of approaching a boating insurance company to sponsor/advertise on fishwrecked. I know the main companies out there, but who do you get your insurance through and have you had any good/bad experiences with them?
Cheers,

Mine medical tests
Submitted by Mick on Sun, 2010-01-03 17:47G'day guys
Going for a drug, alcohol and physical exam tomorrow. Just a question though. Dont have a problem with the drug and physical, but what about alcohol. Just got back from Exxy and Coral Bay and I drank at least 4 times my weight in beer. I mean a 9.30am start was a late start. I was going to head down to the pub for a couple of frosties with some of the boys but unsure of the ramifications. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers Mick

We are here in the SW ( paradise) & rapt!
Submitted by rainbow on Sun, 2010-01-03 15:09Hello again guys,
yeah we did make it over to the west about 8 months ago & it took us quite a while to get the house & gardens sorted. 20ft x 10 above ground vegie plot ( now shaded) & picked up a lot of spoilt hay to plant pumkins, zuchs, eggplants etc. Now we are waiting for the back patio to be built & solarhart on the shed roof.
Love peppie & forrest beach although the herring are not easy late arvos.
Still its great to have a swim before berleying up. Last night Jo caught a nice flattie for dinner so we were self suff. with home grown broad beans, zuchs, carrots,& mini capsicums + home brewed beer & lambrusca red.
catchalater!

How to stop weeds growing!
Submitted by wayneleech on Sat, 2010-01-02 18:49Hi All,
Was wondering if there are any landscapers here that can give me some advice?
I've ripped up some lawn and was going to put rainbow stone down instead. However, to avoid weeds growing through I was going to put weedmat down though I was wondering if there's something else I could put under the weedmat for extra protection from weed growth?
Reason being I've put some weedmat down in other areas of the garden and still get small weeds coming through were there are holes in the mat.
I won't be planting any plants in this area so it doesn't matter what goes into the soil...
cheers
Wayne

The best dive iv had
Submitted by Paul G on Sat, 2010-01-02 13:02Headed out this morning ,wind was up and see was choppy ,we headed out to a new area and started sounding around ,we picked up a small edge and some good schools of fish ,in 13m of water .After setting the anchor we were on our way down ,as I hit the bottom and looked back Jesse was still on the surface ,so back to the top ,once on the surface Jesse informed me he was having trouble with his ears ,and was going to sit this one out ,well done to him for picking up the signs ,and not pushing to deep .So back to the bottom we were welcomed by a school of sambos and yellow tail kings some good size . On the sounder this edge was a lot like any other but ,once on the bottom It was one like I have never dived before ,small caves and ledges ,but all different somehow. Then a dhuie swam out to take a look at the new guys ,then another ,there was some nice sized crays ,the whole time I was thinking of Jesse sitting on the boat ,anyway we were down to 100bar and headed back to the anchor, we swam a total of 100m on this edge and saw 6 dhuies some size some under ,this edge runs for miles .next time I will take the camera and film the dhuies. the inside reefs are holding a lot of small dhuies which is a great thing to see .I did at one stage take the safety of the gun and line up a nice dhu but alas could not pull the trigger .

fuel system
Submitted by Faulkner Family on Fri, 2010-01-01 22:27just curious as to how to eliminate a flat spot in a 350 holly carby sitting on a 350 chev. we have always had the prob and talking about it on the way home from our shop, also what is the best product you can add to your fuel to clean out the fuel system including the jets and carby (if any) or are we better off pulling the carby apart and giving it a good clean that way but i would have to pay someone to do that job. any advice on either prob would be greatful........... by the way the motor is in the boat not the car
